The film depicts a television show called "People to People". This is a spoof of then-popular interview show "Person to Person" (1953-1961). The film spoofs the original host Edward Roscoe Murrow. By the time of the film's release Murrow had been replaced by a new host, Charles Collingwood (1917-1985).
This short film was released on April 2, 1960. Arthur Q. Bryan (Elmer Fudd's voice actor) received a posthumous credit, as Bryan had died on November 18, 1959.
The opening credits with studio spotlights would again be seen in the introduction of the 1960's TV series "The Bugs Bunny Show."
The log gag was reused footage from "All this and Rabbit Stew" (1942) where Bugs and Elmer Chases each other around the tree log.
