- Born in Brooklyn, New York, Lillian Walker was a 22-year-old showgirl appearing in "The Follies of 1910" on Broadway, when Vitagraph Studios head J. Stuart Blackton saw a picture of her and snapped her up for a role in The Inherited Taint (1911). She developed into one of Vitagraph's top stars, extremely popular with moviegoers, and earned the nickname "Dimples". She left Vitagraph in 1917 and had a long career as a character actress, making her last film in 1934.
