Pierre-Louis, does this name remind you of anything? Most probably not. And yet this affable unpretentious actor has played in no fewer than sixty films, debuting at the tender age of 14. But as he was too sweet and humble a person to impose himself he remained just another actor, likable but transparent, and none of his roles stands out in memory. And yet, the first two characters he embodied when he was a teen were for famed German director Georg Wilhelm Pabst. And yet, he played a major part in one of the best French 'resistance films' of the postwar period "Le bataillon du ciel", directed by 'Alexandre Esway'. And yet he was fine as the French officer in SS disguise in the excellent Fernandel vehicle "La vache et le prisonnier" (1959). On the other hand, what a lot of mediocre movies he took part in, particularly between 1948 and 1952. Being in idiotic 'Jean de Létraz' adaptations did not restore his reputation nor did his roles in a series low-grade commercial films by such undistinguished directors as René Sti, Jean-Paul Paulin, Jean Gourguet, René Jayet, Alfred Rode or Henri Lepage. Pierre-Louis even directed three pictures in the early 1950s, nothing to be ashamed of but the result was nothing more than three lackluster crime movies that left no imprint whatsoever. Feeling he would never be the great actor everybody craves to see on the big screen, Pieer-Louis gradually gave up his acting career and turned to radio and TV, successfully teaming with Pierre Tchernia for three popular programs 'Mardi Cinéma", 'Monsieur Cinéma' and 'Ces messieurs vous disent'.- Stéphane Slima was born on 10 October 1970 in Le Mans, Sarthe, France. He was an actor, known for Cyrano de Bergerac (1990), Salsa and Love (1999) and Mina Tannenbaum (1994). He died on 26 August 2012 in Rivedoux-Plage, Charente-Maritime, France.

- Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is a French professional tennis player.
Tsonga's career-high ATP singles ranking is world No. 5, which he achieved in February 2012. After being awarded the ATP Newcomer of the Year for 2007, Tsonga rose to fame by virtue of his performance in the 2008 Australian Open when, as an unseeded player, he reached the final, having defeated four seeded players along the way, including a straight-sets win over No. 2 Rafael Nadal in the semifinals. Tsonga lost to the No. 3 Novak Djokovic in the final in four sets, after winning the first set; it was the only set Djokovic dropped during the tournament.
Tsonga followed this up by winning his first ATP Masters Series championship at the 2008 Paris Masters. His best performances in a major tournament since 2008 are semifinal appearances in the 2010 Australian Open, the 2013 and 2015 French Opens, and at Wimbledon in 2011 and 2012. He also reached the final of the 2011 ATP World Tour Finals, where he lost to five-time and defending champion Roger Federer. He achieved his second Masters Series win at the 2014 Canadian Open, defeating four top ten players on the way to victory. This feat made him the first player to defeat Djokovic, Murray, and Federer in the same tournament. On top of his Masters Series victories, Tsonga also reached the final of the 2011 Paris Masters and the 2015 Shanghai Masters, losing to Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic respectively. To add to this, he won the 2009 Shanghai Masters doubles title with partner Julien Benneteau. In 2017, Tsonga helped France to their first Davis Cup win in 16 years after previously losing in the final in 2014.
He has reached the quarterfinal stage of all four Grand Slams. Tsonga is an Olympic silver medalist, finishing 2nd in the doubles with partner Michaël Llodra in the 2012 Summer Olympics.
