Born in Terrebonne, a small city in the Greater Montreal area, André developed his interest for digital and traditional arts at a very young age. At 15, he is introduced to a software called Macromedia Flash, then at their fourth version, which sparks in him a powerful attraction towards animation. He later graduates from college in Interactive Media and move on to pursue a career in Video Games as a 2D and 3D Animator. During this time, he slowly climbs the ladder by working on modest cellphone games to the highly praised Assassin's Creed franchise. Relentlessly wanting more, André eventually decides to quit the industry to pursue his lifelong dream of working on the big screen. He goes back to University and graduate with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree with a Major in Film Animation. Throughout his third year in school, André is hired as a puppet fabricator on Mark Osborne's (Kung Fu Panda) last animated feature "The Little Prince". From then, he goes on to animate on commercials and even uses his past experience with digital 3D modeling to develop a 3D Printing workflow for a National Film Board produced short film titled "Bone Mother". Just back from a year long production in the United States, his latest work will be featured in Laika's upcoming film "Missing Link".
