Saifeddine Helal was born in Tunis, right in the heart of the North African culture.
He grew up listening and exploring many different North African and Oriental music styles, which formed the basis for his musical work today.
As a teenager, he began to work professionally as a percussionist with some of the most respected musicians of the traditional/pop Tunisian and Arabic music scene, and he soon established himself as a sought-after musician, well known for his authentic grasp of North African, Middle Eastern, Andalusian, African, Flamenco, Latin American and Electronic music styles.
A few years later, Saif moved to Paris. Over the years, he has been studying with masters of the Classical writing and Orchestration and featured as performer on many television shows as well as Jazz & World Music festivals in Tunisia, France, Germany, Belgium, Tunisia, Egypt, UK, The US and many other countries
In 2014 he got a scholarship to attend at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he he developed his skills in performance, contemporary writing and production.
Mastering a large variety of percussion instruments such as the Darbouka, Riqq, Bendir, frame drums, congas, bongos, Djembe, Cajon, Drums and many others, his musical influences today are derived from a combination of traditional Middle Eastern and North African rhythms, Latin American styles, Jazz, Electro and Pop.
Saifeddine has been appearing,Recording, touring and sharing the stage with Saber Rebai, Mohamed Ali Kamoun, Mohamed Jebali, Dj Danger, Walid Gharbi, Emel Methlouthi, Wadii Mrad, Addictive TV, Imed Alibi, Nader Guirat, Syrine Ben moussa, Roni Eytan, Nesrine Jabeur, Fawzi Chekili, Yassr Jeradi, Layth Sedik, Noam Israeli, Lior Tzemah, Mohamed Araki, Wassim Ben Chaouacha, Abderaouf Ouertani, Kaptan Emrah, Edika, Benjamin Furman, James Heazelwood Dale, Skander Besbes, Lefteris Kordis, Vasilis Kostas, Josh Shpak, Alp Akmaz, Mounir Troudi, Missak Baghboudarian, Tunisian Symphonic Orchestra, Rouaida Attiah, Amine Bouhafa, Meryl Amp, Julien Beau Abir Nasraoui, Tunis Jazz Club Ensemble, Taratata World Music, Saifeddine Mayouf, E-Fest Collectif, Hafiz Dhaou, Gaêl Segalen and many others.
