Ciao America! Several U.S. celebs have been spotted vacationing in Italy in recent weeks. Included among them is Angelina Jolie, who was spotted with her children in Venice. On her trip to Italy, the Oscar winner was also joined by married artists Jr and Prune Nourry. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez and on-again boyfriend Ben Affleck spent some time on the Italian island of Capri. Their visit followed a romantic trip to the South of France, where they celebrated her birthday and appeared to re-create scenes from her 2002 music video "Jenny From the Block." Also during their European vacay, J.Lo shared her first Instagram photo of Ben—a steamy Pda...

Angelina Jolie made quite a splash while enjoying an Italian getaway. The 46-year-old The Eternals star joined her children on a recent vacation in Italy, where they stayed at the swanky Cipriani Hotel in Venice. During the visit, Angelina spent time with married artists Jr and Prune Nourry, who posted photos of the actress to Instagram throughout the excursion. Among the pics shared to social media is one of Angelina wearing a gray caftan while joyfully gesturing on an Italian rooftop, in addition to a shot of the A-lister enjoying a meal aboard a luxury train. Another photo showed Angelina holding a camera while leaning out of a train window. Angelina is certainly not...

Even before Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and won the Audience Award, the World War II satire was getting plenty of attention from Hollywood — because it was a comedy about Hitler. The filmmaker had a cult following after his films Boy, What We Do In the Shadows and Hunt For the Wilderpeople. After Thor: Ragnarok, Waititi’s stock skyrocketed and his fanbase grew. Audiences have been waiting for Jojo Rabbit to hit theaters and with the critical buzz its been getting, Fox Searchlight could possibly expect a delightful weekend.
Also opening this weekend is Feras Fayyad’s The Cave. With his success, acclaim and Oscar nomination for Last Men in Aleppo, his The Cave will certainly be a documentary feature to watch during award season.

“If I could have a secret superpower, it would be to heal with my hands,” says French artist Prune Nourry in her autobiographical documentary “Serendipity.” It’s an understandable enough admission, given that she was diagnosed with breast cancer aged 31, fighting a battle against it that included undergoing a mastectomy, harvesting her eggs in advance of chemotherapy, and a tough personal reckoning with her changed body. It would have been easier, of course, to heal herself by her own touch — except in Nourry’s view, that’s essentially what she did, albeit through art rather than science. “That’s why I’m a sculptor,” she says, gesturing toward her own busy, clay-acquainted hands: “Serendipity” documents creativity blossoming from misfortune, positing that, alongside medicine at least, it’s inspiration that has kept Nourry alive.
Once you banish all rom-com associations from your mind, then, “Serendipity” functions as two documentaries in one.

"When you're ill, you realize that health is everything. If you're in good health, there is no limit." Cohen Media Group has released the first official trailer for a documentary titled Serendipity, not to be confused with that John Cusack film from 2001. Serendipity is an autobiographical film made by, and about, French artist Prune Nourry. She has spent a majority of her artistic career creating work that deals with women's bodies and female fertility. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, she decided to create this film (also a book) which captures the subsequent evolution of her body, her work, her soul, her mind. This beautiful film embodies the artist's belief that everything is connected, coincidence is an illusion, and "the essentials to life really are health, love, and art." It is a very unique, deeply introspective doc that is worth a bit of your time. Here's the official trailer (+ new...

When she was just 31, multi-disciplinary French artist Prune Nourry was faced with an unexpected challenge in the form of a breast cancer diagnosis. Nourry’s work, much of it performance-based, has always been cross-disciplinary and engaged with the female body; that she’d end up making a film about her experiences with her own body comes as no great surprise. It’s even less of a shock that the final product, “Serendipity,” is such a joy to watch, not only for fans of Nourry’s work, but for any audience looking to engage with tough questions about self and health in a fresh way.
Part art film, part non-fiction testimonial, “Serendipity” stems from Nourry’s previous work, and Nourry pushes the simple idea into unique spaces. The film’s unpredictability lies in Nourry’s ability to package a personal hurdle as both an iteration and survey of her professional work.

Angelina Jolie made a rare appearance with all six of her kids as they attended a movie night in the city. On Monday night, the actress hosted a special screening of the Netflix film The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind in NYC, and she brought along her entire clan for the fun. Angelina and her kids - Maddox, 17, Zahara, 14, Pax, 15, Shiloh, 12, Vivienne, 10, and Knox, 10 - were all smiles as they posed for a few photos together. Angelina also joined the film's director, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and William Kamkwamba, whose memoir the film is based on, for a Q&A during the event.
Angelina and her kids have been enjoying quite a few public appearances together lately. On Feb. 22, the actress was joined by a few of her kids as she attended the opening of the Museum of Modern Art's Doc Fortnight and the premiere of artist Prune Nourry's Serendipity documentary.

Angelina Jolie made a rare appearance with all of her children on Monday night, marking the second time in less than a week that the actress, 43, has attended a public event with her kids.
The family — including Jolie’s children Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10 — stepped out for a special early screening of The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City.
The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind, based on a 2009 memoir of the same name, tells the story of a 13-year-old boy in Malawi who helps his village by building a wind turbine.

Angelina Jolie is very private when it comes to her family life, so the brood's latest appearance is definitely a treat! On Thursday night, the 43-year-old actress and humanitarian had a special night out at a museum with four of her six kids (whom she shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt), Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, and Shiloh, 12. Can you almost all of them are teenagers now?! How time flies! The family attended the opening of the Museum of Modern Art's Doc Fortnight and the premiere of artist Prune Nourry's Serendipity documentary. Angelina and her kids all color-coordinated their outfits in black and showed a united front as they wrapped their arms around each other while posing for photos. Unfortunately, 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne weren't in attendance.

For Angelina Jolie and her famous kids, Thursday had a special event on the calendar: a night out at the museum. The Oscar winner and four of her six children stepped out at the Museum of Modern Art for the opening night of the museum's Doc Fortnight and premiere for artist Prune Nourry's Serendipity documentary, inspired by her breast cancer diagnosis. It was a fitting event for Jolie, who underwent a preventative double mastectomy in 2013. The actress put a fashionable foot forward for the occasion, donning a glittering black blouse and matching black, high-waisted trousers with a pop of red lipstick. Her youngsters, Shiloh, Zahara, Maddox and Pax, all posed arm in arm...

If anyone else made the observations that frame artist Prune Nourry’s feature directorial debut, they might read as insensitive or even crass; in Nourry’s capable and curious hands, that’s never the case. It certainly doesn’t hurt that “Serendipity” — an accurate title for a film that digs into the deeper nature of the term — is about a woman taking hold of her destiny in the face of terrible circumstances, but Nourry’s careful unspooling of her documentary’s narrative keeps its deeper revelations from feeling salacious.
The film is indeed about serendipity and unexpected connections, but it’s also about seeking out those things when it might be easier to look through a darker lens. It’s a film about Nourry’s personal battle with cancer, and how her own work prepared her for what was to come. But it’s mostly about finding beauty in horrible circumstances,...

At age 31, multi-disciplinary artist Prune Nourry was diagnosed with breast cancer. The disease, which resulted in a mastectomy, only emboldened her creative efforts, the pronounced prospect of death pushing her forward instead of paralyzing her. That's the inspirational vision that Serendipity, Nourry's nonfiction feature debut, sells to us, anyway. For better and for worse, the film is both personal memoir and promo reel, and the emotions tend to be undercut by the self-marketing.

Easy does it. Finding a dress for your next formal event can be stressful, but Jennifer Lawrence proves even simple looks can make an impact. The Red Sparrow actress wore a classic, black slip dress to a private dinner celebrating artist Prune Nourry. Paired with a dramatic smoky eye, the look came together to top our Best Dressed list of the week. In similar fashion, Bella Hadid visited Rome in a slinky silhouette. However, the dress came to life with its gilded coloring and high slit. Subtle, this look was not, but you'll appreciate the high-voltage appeal. For a more casual take on the minimalistic trend, La La Anthony looked the best she ever has, in a two-piece, bodycon...
