David Mazouz from Gotham, Donal Logue from Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City, and Adam Beach from The Power Of The Dog round out the cast.
Austin Andrews and Andrew Holmes co-wrote and co-directed for Flicker Theory, Famous Red Car, and Mad Samurai Productions.

A magical location in The Island Between Tides
In the first part of my interview with Andrew Holmes and Austin Andrews on their latest film, The Island Between Tides, we discussed their fascination with time and their work with stars Paloma Kwiatkowski, Donal Logue and David Mazouz. In part two, we discuss their locations, aspects of storytelling, their feelings about screening at Fantaspoa and the way they captured the magic of the time-shifting island at the centre of their ghostly tale.
“The island was truly a magical place,” says Andrew. “We shot the film in Prince Rupert, British Colombia, which is the north-westmost point in Canada. Basically, it's just south of Ketchikan, Alaska, and it is a magical place. And that was probably the most difficult decision that I had to make going into this film was where to film this location. We really shot at the most perfect island,...

If you need proof that you never know what’s going on in people’s lives before you get a look behind the beaded curtain, I’ve got a story for you. Rocky IV and The Expendables franchise star Dolph Lundgren revealed he’s been battling cancer for the past eight years. During a nationally syndicated interview on In Depth With Graham Bensinger, Lundgren said he’d been diagnosed with lung cancer in 2015.
While Lundgren says he went into remission, the cancer returned with a vengeance in 2020. His doctor gave him a terminal diagnosis, saying he only had 2-3 years to live. When the actor’s cancer returned, Lundgren’s fiancée Emma Krokdal said the doctors found tumors in his lungs, spine, and kidneys. Dolph made peace with the diagnosis, thinking he would die within a finite period.
Thankfully, this report has a silver lining. Lundgren sought a second opinion from Dr.

The editors behind Nitram, I Met A Girl, The Furnace and June Again will compete for this year’s Ellie Award for Best Editing in Feature Drama, while the television drama category will be a contest between those who cut Wakefield, The Tailings, Jack Irish, Eden and Bump.
The annual awards of the Australian Screen Editors (Ase) will be held in early February with the hope that travel restrictions between states will have eased.
“It’s been a tough two years and we think we all deserve to be together in person to celebrate these fine achievements in editing, and the results of everybody’s hard work during such difficult times,” Ase president Danielle Boesenberg tells If.
In addition to the feature film prize, I Met A Girl editor Melanie Annan will also be in contention for Best Editing in Documentary and Series for Three Songs for Benazir, shared with Christoph Wermke.

Exclusive: Frontières Platform, the genre-focused event run by Fantasia and Cannes’ Marche du Film, returns to the French fest for another edition this year, with 13 projects selected to take part in the showcase, running July 10-11. Scroll down for the full list.
The event is technically taking place physically, as per Cannes’ commitment to staging an in-person industry event in July, but Frontières has informed participants that it does not encourage them to travel during a pandemic and that all pitches will be screened online. “Lord Jones Is Dead” follows rival journalists Samuel (Chad Krowchuk) and Vincent (Daniel Janks), and photographer Clive (Jonathan Pienaar) as they stake out a dead-end assignment. Waiting outside of a suburban house for a woman who is alleged to have had an affair with a government minister, all three soon realize they don’t know if they’re in front of the right house or if they have even identified the right girl. Since Samuel is told by his editors not to leave without a story, and Vincent and Clive are told not to leave before Samuel does, the three settle in for a long waiting period until they decide to make the story up themselves. Watch the trailer for the film below.
