BTS member V released a live performance video of single “Fri(end)s” Monday in partnership with luxury accessory designer Cartier. With a mic in his hand, V eyes the camera as he sings in the center of Cartier Maison Cheongdam’s “La Résidence.” As V croons “Friends, just for now,” in a live video released by W Korea magazine, he captures the uneasiness of existing on the friend-to-lover cusp.

It’s been six months since V of BTS released his solo project, Layover, and it turns out he wasn’t quite finished working on music. Despite the fact that V is in the midst of completing his mandatory period serving in the South Korean military, alongside his bandmates, the members of the BTS Army now have a new single, titled “Fri(End)S,” to enjoy from the perpetually jazz-inspired vocalist.

The all-English track does feel akin to the sound V developed on Layover, where he spent time with similarly mid-tempo, confessional arrangements.

‘BTS: Yet to Come’, the concert movie of K-pop idols BTS, will be available globally on an Ott platform starting from November 9. The idea behind the Ott release is to celebrate the glitz and glamour of K-pop. The ‘BTS: Yet to Come’ concert was performed by the seven-member boy band in Busan in October last year in support of the Korean port city’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo. It was held at the Asiad Main Stadium with approximately 50,000 people in attendance.
The concert was also live-streamed on Weverse, the fan platform operated by Hybe. The film sees BTS perform 19 of their hit tracks, including ‘Dynamite’, ‘Butter’, ‘Run’, ‘Mic Drop’ and the title track, ‘Yet To Come’. It was released on the big screen across the world, including India, earlier this year on February 1.
