- Ravi was named 'Ravi' as he was born on a Sunday. In Hindi, Ravi means sun or light.
- Ravi's great Grandfather, Capt. J.G. Smith, was also the CO of the USS Intrepid in 1964-1965 and picked up Gemini 3 on March 23, 1965. (this was also on cover of Life magazine). Ravi visited the carrier in 2013 and was invited to sit in that very Captain's chair where his great Grandfather had sat.
- Ravi's mother studied acting with the late Manu Tupou (1935-2004) at American Repertory Company in the 1990s.
- Ravi's father is a physician/scientist born and raised in India.
- Ravi's mother was one of the youngest athletes at the 1984 Olympic Trials (Swimming) and still listed in USA Swimming's Top 100 All-Time fastest times for freestyle and butterfly in USA history.
- Ravi took a break from Los Angeles and lived in Sugar Land, Texas during 2015-2016.
- Started a Chess Club at his elementary school.
- While in Texas, Ravi rescued and adopted a stray kitten and brought it back to Los Angeles. The grey cat is now named "Gandalf the Grey".
- Ravi has stated he wants to also become a Director and attend film school after finishing high school.
