David Cocheret is a filmmaker hailing from The Netherlands. After graduating from The New York Film Academy in Los Angeles he worked his way up from student films until finally landing his first big project: Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, where he worked as a data handler. His 2014 directorial full-length feature debut Night Eyes was filmed on location in Los Angeles and garnered attention in the Netherlands and was eventually sold in the United States, Canada and United Kingdom.
Presently Cocheret works in film, television and online productions. He has directed four seasons of High School Slut, a successful Dutch TV-show that attracted million of viewers. He was also the showrunner for 280 episodes on SpangaS, the longest running teen drama series in the Netherlands. Cocheret's newest short film Wolf's Claw is currently being developed into a feature film.
