This Fear the Walking Dead review is spoiler-free.
Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 1
I’ll admit, after last season’s disappointing finale, I approached this new season of Fear the Walking Dead with a fair bit of trepidation. As viewers know, season 4 was meant as a course correction for the show as new talent was brought in on both sides of the camera. Out was original showrunner Dave Erickson, Fear’s steward since day one, as well as show mainstays Kim Dickens and Frank Dillane, whose Madison and Nick Clark were killed off. Add to that a five-year time jump that jettisoned any kind of story threads and new supporting characters like Qaleteqa Walker and Proctor John, and suddenly viewers were left wondering why the first three...

Drama and danger are prevalent within Alexandria's walls on AMC's The Walking Dead right now, and in the middle of the mayhem is Major Dodson, who plays Sam Anderson on the series. For our latest Q&A feature, we recently caught up with Major, who discussed working with Melissa McBride and Andrew Lincoln, his time on American Horror Story: Freak Show, and much more.
Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for us, Major. You do a great job playing Sam Anderson on The Walking Dead. Were you a fan of the show before joining the cast?
Major Dodson: I had only seen one episode on a plane TV during a trip, and it was an episode where a lot of people died. After I was cast as Sam, my entire family started watching from episode one and now we all are huge fans!

Teenage American Horror Story actor Dalton Gray was seriously hurt in a car accident last weekend, but he's already recovered enough to joke about the incident.
Gray, 17, posted several photos online showing his injuries, which included serious facial lacerations. TMZ.com reports that the car he was traveling in was hit by a drunk driver, and that Gray also suffered a broken hip/pelvis and femur.
After a number of days in the hospital, Gray was discharged. "Heading home! Thank you for all the love and prayers!" he wrote on Instagram.
He also felt well enough to post a video...

Alexandria could indeed be the safe haven that it appears to be; however, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) continues to refuse to entertain that idea.
"Forget" was played out by the Bee Gees' "Spicks and Specks," and the song summed up Rick's attitude about Alexandria: "Where is the sun / That shone on my head? / The sun in my life / It is dead ... Where is the girl I loved / All along? / The girl that I loved / She's gone."
At this point, nothing really matters for Rick other than maintaining the status quo – that is, simply surviving – because the sun doesn't really flicker...
