There’s something to offend—and amuse—everyone in the horror/comedy Bloody Knuckles. Fangoria spoke to the team behind the shamelessly entertaining flick, just out on Blu-ray, DVD and VOD from Artsploitation Films. Written and directed by Matt O., a.k.a. Matt O’Mahoney, the Vancouver-lensed Bloody Knuckles (initially titled Sick Puppy) stars Adam Boys as Travis, a cartoonist who […]...

• Written By: Michael Varrati

• Starring: Anna Rizzo, Michael Thurber, Jamie Lyn Bagley
As anyone that reads this column knows, I am a fan of prolific independent horror maestro Richard Griffin. When I was afforded the opportunity to be among the first to check out his latest feature Flesh For The Inferno, I jumped on that quicker than a zombie at an all-you-can-eat brain buffet!
The story runs like this: when a child lover of a priest (you inferred correctly) bricks up some nuns in a church’s walls, they take it upon themselves to renounce God. You can guess how that works out…...

*an online screener of this film was provided by Artsploitation Films. Director/writer: Matt O'Mahoney. Cast: Adam Boys, Kasey Ryne Mazak, Ken Tsui and Gabrielle Giraud. Bloody Knuckles is an indie horror film from first time feature film director Matt O'Mahoney. The film was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia. And, Bloody Knuckles involves a comic book artist protagonist and a local, gangland real estate developer. The protagonist, Travis (Adam Boys), uses his imagination to level the violent playing field. But, fictional heroes are much less heroic than more real ones. Still, O'Mahoney creates some great conflict and even some romance. The lighting dampens the field of vision; too many scenes are shot indoors. The viewer will need to overcome a few film detriments as Bloody Knuckles moves deeper into Travis' complex inner world. Travis draws artwork by day. He works on sketches of architectural structures at night. His friend and roommate,...

Tagline: "Nobody has the right to not be offended." Bloody Knuckles is a Canadian production. From writer and director Matt O'Mahoney, the film covers topics like freedom of speech, political correctness and other topics. The film has debuted at several film festivals, throughout 2014 and 2015. Now, Artsploitation Films has picked up Bloody Knuckles for distribution. A preview of the film's launch on home entertainment platforms is hosted here. The film's story follows a cartoonist. His work upsets a local crime lord, who cuts off Travis'(Adam Boys) hand. But, his hand wants revenge and so does one of Travis' cartoonish characters. Now, the bad guys are on the run as the protagonist's imagination reaches its full bloody potential. A trailer for the film was released late last year. The clip shows Travis encountering and interacting with strange characters, at night as he draws during the day. Part comedy and part horror,...

The WWE has had some success with their chosen films, especially horror. See No Evil was entertaining enough No One Lives, The Call and Oculus also showed that they had an eye for quality and weren’t afraid to take a few risks. Leprechaun: Origins seemed to have been picked up as a vehicle to bring their own Leprechaun inspired wrestler Dylan ‘Hornswoggle’ Postl to the big screen in an acting role, but to try to remake Leprechaun without the much-loved Warwick Davis? The warning signs were already there for how horror fans would feel about this one.

A WWE and Lionsgate panel was present at Comic-Con last night touting their upcoming projects 'See No Evil 2' and their 'Leprechaun' franchise reboot 'Leprechaun Origins'. The project from director Zach Lipovsky will be unleashed onto VOD from 26 August and will see a DVD and Blu-ray release just over a month later. WWE's Hornswoggle (Dylan Postl) has snared the iconic little guy role from Warwick Davis ('Life's Too Short') and from this new first look teaser at the green bastard we can certainly see that he's been given an even more sinister makeover for his latest outing. Brendan Fletcher, Teach Grant, Andrew Dunbar, Stephanie Bennett, Bruce Blain and Adam Boys also star. Check out the new teaser below....

During the Sdcc we had a chance to get the skinny on WWE's Leprechaun: Origins, starring WWE Supertstar Dylan "Hornswoggle" Postl. Read on for the scoop from Dylan and director Zach Lipovsky.
"For me the biggest and coolest challenge was that Leprechauns aren't something that people are generally frightened by," Lipovsky (pictured) tells us of the character and his idea for how the film should play out.
"We asked ourselves, can we do something that would be legitimately scary for people, and if so, what would that look like? Anything was on the table so that was really fun. It was fun to come on to the project and make it something that honors the mythology and is iconic and be totally fresh with our approach. We looked into making the origin story of a creature that maybe thousands of years ago the Celtics met in a cave or something that was really scary.

Ever wonder what would happen if Thing dragged one of the Adams kids through a seedy underworld of dirty comics, contraband pesticides and underground sex clubs? That's kind of what Bloody Knuckles is about.
The feature film debut of writer/director Matt O'Mahoney stars Adam Boys as Travis Warner, an underground comic book artist whose latest comic offends a Chinatown crime boss who retaliates by cutting off the artist's hand. Unable to draw, Travis descends into a drunken stupor and is then dragged out of it when his severed limb returns from the great beyond and drags him through a seedy adventure in search of revenge.
It sounds ridiculous and I'm sure it'll be ridiculous. In the best way possible. In a press release for the movie, O'Mahoney explained that the movie is a res [Continued ...]...

It's time to do a little jig and celebrate the fact that the first official teaser one-sheet for Zach Lipovsky's 'Leprechaun: Origins' has been uncovered. Whether of not the franchise needs rebooting is a question that seems to have been answered positively by Lionsgate along with WWE Studios whom have teamed up to bring us this new look version which is said to be 'darker and a more traditional horror.' Warwick Davis ('Life's Too Short'), whom was fitted out in the fetching green attire for 6 of the previous installments, has been looked over this time around in favour of WWE's own Hornswoggle Dylan Postl. Brendan Fletcher, Teach Grant, Andrew Dunbar, Stephanie Bennett, Bruce Blain and Adam Boys also star. Check out the new poster below....

The first official poster from the WWE's Leprechaun: Origins, starring WWE Supertstar Dylan "Hornswoggle" Postl as the ever-so-evil title character, has arrived and it's gold-hording good! Check it out!
Leprechaun: Origins also stars Stephanie Bennett, Teach Grant (The Tall Man, Devour, Repeaters, “Cult”), Bruce Blain (“Supernatural”), Adam Boys, and Brendan Fletcher ("The Killing," Freddy vs. Jason, 13 Eerie).
The original Leprechaun, which featured comedic elements, followed an evil leprechaun searching for his pot of gold while avoiding four-leaf clovers. “The tone [of Origins] is going to be a little darker, a little more traditional horror than the Warwick Davis ones that people remember, trying to find a way to please fans of that genre; but at the same time this is really being played for scares,” said WWE president Michael Luisi in an earlier interview.
Producers are keeping details of Harris Wilkinson's script under wraps to keep the franchise's new direction a secret.
