Congratulations are in order for Brigitte Nielsen! The Danish model gave birth to her first child — a baby girl named Frida — with her husband Mattia Dessi on Friday, June 22. Even though this is her first child with Mattia, this is baby No. 5 for Brigitte because she is already a mom to four boys. "We are overjoyed to welcome our beautiful daughter into our lives. It’s been a long road, and so worth it. We’ve never been more in love," the proud parents told People. Little Frida weighed 5 pounds, 9 ounces at the time of her birth. Brigitte gave birth just one month after she first announced the exciting news that she was expecting on Instagram. "Family getting larger," the 54-year-old captioned a photo cradling her growing baby bump in a skin-tight white dress. Alongside another photo she wrote, "Happy time positive vibes." As expected, fans showered the six-foot beauty with well-wishes.

On April 6, 1909 Admiral Robert Peary and his team became the first men to reach the geographic North Pole. To celebrate the centennial anniversary of this remarkable expedition, Sebastian Copeland—a noted explorer, filmmaker, photographer, and environmental advocate—led his own, smaller expedition to this landmark locale. And while the advance of technology in the last 100 years has made this journey somewhat easier, the declining environment has created very different obstacles for Copeland that Peary did not face.
Part celebration of exploration and part PSA on the declining environment of the Great North, Into the Cold is an adventure documentary for the masses.

Two filmmakers head to the frigid North Pole in documentary Into the Cold.
Fewer than 150 people have visited the North Pole on foot — ever. Award-winning photographer Sebastian Copeland and expedition guide Keith Heger filmed their 400-mile trek to the top of the world during two months in 2009, facing harsh temperatures that fell to -50 degrees. Their trip retraced and commemorated the centennial of Robert E. Peary’s successful expedition in April 1909.
During the journey showcased in Into the Cold, Copeland and Heger each pulled a 200-pound sled while wearing cross country skis over uneven terrain and ice boulders. Copeland survived a fall through the ice and the men dealt with life-threatening food shortages.
With Global Warming, this same trek will no longer be possible in the next 10 or 20 years as temperatures rise, changing the landscape and endangering the...

I greatly appreciate the accessibility of the Tribeca Film Festival's virtual programming, but there's one film in particular that I'd have preferred to see on a big screen rather than on my laptop: Into the Cold: A Journey of the Soul. Like other sport/nature/travelogue documentaries taking us into remote landscapes, such as Touching the Void and Encounters at the End of the World, you just want to see those epic vistas as large as possible, hopefully to engulf your vision and let you pretend you're right there with the explorers and filmmakers, even if there's no way you could possibly comprehend how much warmer you are than the people on screen.
Sebastian Copeland, best known for his photography books on Antarctica, traveled to the North Pole last year for the centennial of Robert Peary's first-ever expedition to the top of the world. He was joined by one other person,...

After teaming up for midday work duties, the lovely ladies of Victoria's Secret went their separate ways while taking advantage of all there is to offer in New York City (April 24).
Fresh off of the Heavenly Flowers fragrance launch, Alessandra Ambrosio hit up a number of shops in the SoHo neighborhood before prepping for the long flight back to Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Candice Swanepoel also felt the need for a little retail therapy - as she was accompanied by security staffers while loading up on a few new purchases.
Last, but not least, Miranda Kerr stepped out later in the evening for the "Into The Cold: A Journey of The Soul" after-party at Polar Lounge.
Held as part of the Tribeca Film Festival festivities, Miranda posed for a few pictures and chatted with director Sebastian Copeland before drawing an end to what was quite the busy day.
