It’s another year and McM ends in London until May. I’ve been going to McM conventions for the past two years and each time I go, I never find it boring and it’s the best time for anyone who is a part of nerd culture. You get to meet the actors who bring these incredible movies, tv shows and video games to life and enjoy the things that are coming. I even cosplayed this time which is a first.
In my case, I couldn’t really enjoy Comic Con as much as I would’ve liked. Not because of the event itself. Unfortunately, I was ill during the last two days of Comic Con. I missed out on half of Day Two and Three so if there are things I don’t talk about then that would be why.

Need to catch up? Check out the previous Nashville recap here.
The thing that many of us thought might happen to Scarlett and Gunnar after last week’s Nashville actually does happen in this week’s Nashville, and it’s heartbreaking. If you read these recaps with any regularity, you know that I’m far more likely to make a hemp-choker joke about Scarlett than to sympathize with her flights of emotional fancy. After all, how many public crying fits can a grown woman have before people stop taking her seriously? Yet when Deacon’s niece suffers a miscarriage in “You Can’t Lose Me,...

Warning: If you haven’t watched the Season 2 finale of “Scream” yet, spoilers are ahead.
MTV’s “Scream,” the television show inspired by the successful film franchise, ended its second season on Tuesday night by revealing a final surprise prepared by season one killer Piper (Amelia Rose Blaire) and Kieran (Amadeus Serafini), a disclosure that gradually revealed itself as the finale approached. Choosing this path was perhaps the closest the show had ever come to recreating the spirit of the Wes Craven film series.
The season finale — the strongest of a very uneven season — finally celebrated Craven’s work openly. Making references to all of the previous “Scream” films, the episode offered fans of the original story a chance to relive it in more modern ways. An opening car crash scene was strikingly similar to a moment in the second film, and other instances and dialogue closely recreated portions of the other films.

Slasher enthusiasts were presented with two episodic genre offerings last year, but they probably didn’t exactly get what they were looking for from either. Fox’s gaudy, exhausting Scream Queens had the glitz and glam of a Ryan Murphy production, but it boasted little of the dreadful fear needed to reign in the astronomical campiness radiated by its opening title sequence alone.
Then there was MTV’s Scream, a show adapted in spirit from the blockbuster series of films that reinvigorated slashers in the first place. Despite a nifty premiere – and some gnarly kill sequences throughout the season – it too suffered from a lack of coherent pacing and follow-through – not to mention actual horror – to truly earn the right to its brand name.
According to the always-meta Noah Foster (John Karna), “taking subconscious fears and externalizing them is what horror is all about.

Scream, Season 1, Episodes 8 to 10
Created by Jill E. Blotevogel, Jay Beattie, and Dan Dworkin
Aired Tuesdays at 10pm (Et) on MTV
There’s something we’ve got to talk about before we can talk about the final three episodes of Scream, and that’s about the sad passing of Wes Craven on Sunday, August 30th. There’s a thousand things to say about Wes Craven and what he did for the horror genre, especially in the Scream franchise, and there are plenty of great pieces on the man all across the internet, so I won’t repeat was has already been articulated. We wouldn’t have this show without Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson’s Scream franchise, which is one of the only horror franchises without a single bad installment. [Warning: This story contains spoilers from the Scream season one finale.] MTV's version of Scream's Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) is less concerned with reporting the news of all the murders rocking the town, and more interested in creating it. Glory is an appropriate word to use, too, as Remedy’s Xbox One debut looks absolutely stunning in terms of visuals, and they’re being backed up by an innovative new time-based combat system that lets the player freeze and manipulate time in several different ways.
In addition to all of that, Remedy have come out with a massive list of Hollywood clout that’ll be lending their talents to both the game and its counterpart live-action series, which will be fused together to form an experience that is “greater than the sum of its parts.”

From the development of complex and diverse lead characters to the promotion of female superheroes, Marvel is dragging its brand into the modern-day and winning an army of new fans in the process.
One of the most exciting aspects is that it has brought new characters and narratives to the forefront of the comic book and cinematic world. "Caught" Largely a four-hander featuring a high school track star, the older businessman with whom she’s having an affair, the man’s wife, and the wife’s sister, “Caught” unfolds in a single suburban house and breaks out all the machinations to keep them there. If you’ve seen “Wait Until Dark” or “Panic Room,” you know the hiding spots, the camera angles, the shifts in power dynamics over a single evening. But director Maggie Kiley floods every room with light, bumps the bright production design up to overt, and sets a satirical tone that sets the thriller apart. Her teenage protagonist Allie (Stefanie Scott) sits at the film’s moral and thematic center, as a flawed, failing student wrapped up in a seemingly perfect package. It’s the ideal picture for bubbly housewife Sabrina (Anna Camp) to covet, and also attempt to destroy by kidnapping Allie with her...

A darkly comedic spin on a familiar tale, Maggie Kiley’s Caught is an energetic and clever cat-and-mouse thriller revolving around the determination of one woman to preserve the sanctity of her marriage after she finds out she’s been cheated on. Written by Marcy Holland, Caught features a powerful and hilarious performance from True Blood’s Anna Camp and also co-stars Stefanie Scott (Insidious Chapter 3), Amelia Rose Blaire ( True Blood) and Sam Page (Mad Men) as the trio who must endure her madness after things go horribly awry.
Caught’s initial set-up is pretty straightforward; Sabrina (Camp) is a tightly-wound housewife who strives for perfection but discovers that her husband Justin (Page) is sleeping with a younger woman named Allie (Scott), forcing her to take drastic measures. Rather than confront her spouse, Sabrina decides to teach his lover a lesson by kidnapping Allie with the assistance of her sister...

True Blood concluded its seven-season run with a vampire-human wedding and an end to the love story of Bill and Sookie in the series finale, "Thank You."
Picking up where we left off, Bill (Stephen Moyer) meets Sookie (Anna Paquin) at her house and tried to explain to her why he has chosen to die. “This disease, Sookie, has made me feel more human that I have before,” Bill tells her. He belongs in the cemetery with his family – death, after all, is a part of life. He wants to ensure that Sookie lives a whole life – children included. When she asks why he can’t just break up with her. If she’s not strong enough to leave him, then he could leave her, but he says he’s not strong enough. Then Bill asks Sookie for a huge favor: to use her light on him. Kill him, and...

Last week’s “True Blood” closed up a lot of loose plot ends with the demise of the Hep-v vamps that were terrorizing Bon Temps. Tonight’s episode- the fifth, which means we’re halfway through the final season- picks up with Willa’s (Amelia Rose Blaire) anger towards Eric (Alexander Skarsgard). He wants information on Sarah’s (Anna Camp) possible whereabouts, and in exchange she wants to be released from him as a maker. Sookie, Jason and Bill rallied up their vampire friends and staged a rescue mission to save Arlene and Nicole from becoming Hep-v dinner in True Blood’s “Death Is Not The End.”
Still reeling from the deaths of Alcide and Mrs. Fortenberry, Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) have the honor of making death notifications to Alcide’s father, Jackson (Robert Patrick), and Hoyt (Jim Parrack), who is working on an oilrig in Alaska. Good grief, are they just going to kill everyone?! With the chief goal of the final season of True Blood clearly being to leave as few characters alive to see the cast party as possible (fewer drink tickets!), this week’s episode tidily dispatched with a central castmember, a longtime recurring character, and about a dozen others. Plus it featured Eric in a fabulous James Woods wig circa 1986. Let’s dig in!
We start the episode in an ashram in Los Angeles, where hotties are doing yoga. One of them turns out to be Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp). Ohhhh boy.
Over in France, Pam (Kristin Bauer Van Straten) asks Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) how long he’s been sick. He says a month. Pam says she felt Tara meet the true death, so I guess that confirms it once and for all. Eric says that he has finally given up, mostly because of Sylvie.

Alicide died at the hands of the Bon Temps vigilantes and Pam convinced Eric to go after Sarah Newlin with her in True Blood’s “Fire in the Hole.”
Sookie And Bill Try To Track Hep-v Vamps
In Bon Temps, Sookie (Anna Paquin) put her master plan with Bill (Stephen Moyer) in motion: she was going to drink his blood (after last season’s transfusion, the blood she already had in her system is no longer adequate to alert Bill of her being in danger), and then sit in the woods as bait for the Hep-v vamps. Sookie would allow herself to be taken, just like the others, and Bill would then be able to locate them and rescue Sookie, Arlene (Carrie Preston), Holly (Lauren Bowles) and Nicole (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) from becoming Hep-v vamp dinner.
Bill isn’t all too thrilled with the plan, but he uses the time to...

Joining an established, well-known community may initially be an unnerving job, especially for anyone unfamiliar with the society’s official way of life. This is certainly the case for one of the newest vampires, Willa Burrell, on the hit HBO mystery fantasy drama series, ‘True Blood,’ as well as the actress who portrays her, Amelia Rose Blaire. The gifted and resourceful star, who first stepped into the role during the show’s sixth season last summer, reprised her character in the current and final last season of the Emmy Award-winning series. Blaire, who was at first daunted by working with some of the actors she respects the most, and being integrated into [ Read More ]

Sookie, Jason, Alcide, Andy and Sam took a road trip to learn more about the Hep-v vampires while Arlene struggled for a way out of Fangtasia in True Blood's "I Found You."
True Blood "I Found You" Recap
The episode began with Jason (Ryan Kwanten) having a sexy dream about vampire Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) – a side effect of having drunk Eric’s blood last season. Just as things start getting truly steamy, Jason wakes up with a jolt in a church.
Outside the church, Sookie (Anna Paquin) suggests to Andy (Chris Bauer) that they track where the Hep-v infected vamps came from by investigating the dead girl Sookie stumbled upon in the woods the other night. Andy, desperate for a lead to find Holly (Lauren Bowles), agrees, and tells Sookie and Alcide (Joe Manganiello) to meet him at the station. True Blood kicked off its seventh and final season Sunday night with Hep-v infected vamps attacking Bon Temps, killing Tara, and Pam traveling the world searching for Eric in “Jesus Gonna Be Here.”
R.I.P Tara
The entire town has gathered at Bellefleur’s Bar and Grill for the ‘One vampire for every human’ mixer, where they are promptly attacked by a group of Hep-v infected vampires. Chaos erupts, with Sam (Sam Trammell) and Alcide (Joe Manganiello) turning into their animal forms to help Bill (Stephen Moyer) and the other vamps fight off the crazed attack. In the chaos, the Hep-v vamps take Arlene (Carrie Preston), Holly (Lauren Bowles) and Nicole (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) hostage, among others, and kill Tara (Rutina Wesley), who was trying to protect her mother.
As suddenly as they appeared, the Hep-v vamps take off with their hostages, leaving the wounded and lost to take refuge inside the bar.
