- Alexander's grandfather was screenwriter Jesse Lasky Jr. who wrote eight films for Cecil B. DeMille including "The Ten Commandments". His great grandfather was Jesse Lasky Sr. who produced the first feature film in Hollywood and started a company that became Paramount.
- Alexander's grandfather was singer, songwriter, guitarist Tony Romano who toured with Bob Hope during WW2 and starred in many films with such stars as Errol Flynn and Ida Lupino. He also worked as a vocal arranger for Cole Porter, Ray Heindorf and Tony Bennett.
- Alexander Niles' father, Richard Niles, is an acclaimed composer, producer, arranger, who has worked with such stars as Sir Paul McCartney, Ray Charles, James Brown, Cher, Tina Turner, and Pat Metheny. He is also an author of many books about music. His YouTube channel, Radio Richard features interviews with stars like Barry Manilow, Randy Brecker and Lyle Mays. He taught Alexander music from the age of three, and Alexander was teaching Music Theory by the age of eight.
