Founded in 2008, The Dress Up Gang is comprised of Robb Boardman, DeMorge Brown, Kevin Camia, Donny Divanian, Christian Duguay, Kirk Fox, Cory Loykasek, Frankie Quinones and Brent Weinbach.
The pic written by the group’s Loykasek, Boardman and Divanian is a comedy adventure about our connection to houseplants, nature, and each other. Blurb: Cory spends his days isolated and working from home until he becomes entangled with a mysterious figure known only as “the Plantman,” a vigilante who breaks into people’s homes to rescue plants that aren’t being watered. Cory is suddenly thrust outdoors, into an underground world of plant-lovers, secret greenhouses, and rogue hardware store employees who will stop at nothing to save the dying plants of the city.

The Sundance Institute has unveiled a dozen independent television series for the upcoming festival in the second year of its Indie Episodics section, including works by Nick Hornby and Kyra Sedgwick.
Sundance also announced on Monday that its Special Events section will include the new season of IFC’s documentary parody series “Documentary Now!” and Gregg Araki’s upcoming Starz show “Now Apocalypse,” executive produced by Steven Soderbergh. The shorts section will include 73 short films from 33 countries chosen from 9,443 submissions — 4,720 from the U.S. and 4,723 international.
Of the projects announced on Monday, 53% were directed or created by one or more women, 51% were directed or created by one or more filmmaker of color, and 26% by one or more people who identify as Lgbtqia. And 12 were supported by Sundance Institute in development.

TBS has ordered a new (still untitled) TV series from The Dress Up Gang, a comedy trio featuring creators Donny Divanian, Cory Loykasek, and Robb Boardman. Divanian and Loykasek are starring in the new TV show. Boardman, who is writing and directing, will also appear.
