ITV has commissioned a second season of South Korean spin-off format The Masked Dancer.
The eight-episode series-order for Argonon indie Bandicoot Scotland comes as ITV preps to air the third run of The Masked Singer UK, as the two become established parts of the network’s Saturday night schedule.
The Masked Dancer sees 12 celebrities dancing in masks as judges Oti Mabuse, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan attempt to guess who they are, with at least one eliminated each week as host Joel Dommett presides. Last year’s competition was won by gymnast Louis Smith, who was disguised as Carwash.
While it didn’t rate as well as The Masked Singer, the show still regularly topped 3M overnight viewers – a solid showing for a spin-off entertainment offering. There had, however, been rumors that the show would be cancelled after one run as ITV looks to return Britain’s Got Talent to the schedules,...

Remember when The Only Way is Essex was all about sporting the very best Vajazzle in Brentwood, Amy Child's cousin constantly saying "shuuuuut up", and that impenetrable love triangle between Mark Wright, Lauren Goodger and Lucy Mecklenburgh?
As the glam-tastic reality TV show celebrates its fifth anniversary, here's what happened to the original cast members:
Mark Wright
Muscle-bound Mark Wright was mostly muddled over whether he wanted to go out with childhood sweetheart Lauren Goodger or Essex rival Lucy Mecklenburg in the debut series of Towie.
He swaggered out of the show and into the night in series 3, never to be seen again... Until he was eating buffalo balls in the jungle a month later for his successful stint on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! - leaving as runner-up to winner McFly bassist Dougie Poynter.

Artem Chigvintsev has hit back at Fern Britton's claims that he mistreated her during her time on Strictly Come Dancing.
The pair performed together on the 2012 series of the annual dancing contest, but Britton has now claimed that Chigvintsev used to "kick" and "shove" her during training.
The professional dancer - who now competes on Us counterpart Dancing with the Stars - said: "Recent statements apparently made by Fern Britton, whilst not reflecting any situation I recognise, are difficult to ignore.
"I believe I treated Fern with respect and genuine care, and these claims about me are the opposite of everything I believe in and the person I am.
"I cannot imagine what has prompted such statements which come as a shock to me. I just want to thank all my fans and friends for their support and belief in me."

The 2012 champion and his partner Aliona Vilani earned a perfect score of 40 points from the judges for their quickstep to 'Jingle Bells'.

After all the excitement about the Strictly Come Dancing launch last weekend, we've now got to wait a couple of weeks to discover who can dance and who can... waddle around a floor, badly (We're looking at you, Gregg Wallace).
In the meantime, we've had the ultimate Strictly pub debate - yes, we talk about Strictly in the pub - who is the greatest champion of all time. Here is the Definitive* ranking of the 11 Glitterball Champions from Worst to the Best.
*Actually just our opinion.
11. Chris Hollins
You can't win Strictly Come Dancing and be a bad dancer. However, Chris Hollins would have struggled to reach the final in any other series and it was only really his partnership with Ola 'Chops' Jordan and the dull competition that allowed him to stroll (or should that be Charleston?) to victory.
10. Tom Chambers
Were Tom Chambers and Camilla Dallerup the best dancers in 2008? Probably not.

Olympics star and former Strictly Come Dancing champion Louis Smith is left red-faced on this week's episode of Viral Tap, when the show reveals that it had a clip of him auditioning on The X Factor.
Smith was turned down by Simon Cowell on The X Factor - and it's clearly not a moment that Smith enjoys reliving or sharing with the world.
The gymnast threatens a walk-out when host Caroline Flack says that she's going to show the clip, and Smith tells the team that he will turn over the table if it's aired.

Viral Tap airs on Sunday (June 15) on ITV.
Smith joins regular panelists Matt Richardson and Carly Smallman and special guest, Made In Chelsea star Ollie Locke.

Rob Brydon receives a lesson in how to tango from Louis Smith in his new BBC One gameshow.
In a preview clip of The Guess List, the Olympic gymnast teaches Rob Brydon how to tango, after Simon Callow buckles under the pressure.

Forget all the cha cha cha-ing on Strictly and Louis Walsh's silliness on X Factor. The No.1 reality TV show of 2013 was most definitely the Great British Bake Off.
Making stars of its contestants and pulling in stupendously large ratings, it is a pop culture phenomenon and every TV commissioner in the land is looking for the "next Bake Off". Here are just a few of the shows hoping to match the success of Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood in 2014.

It's a bold claim to make after only five weeks of the competition, but there's quite a strong argument to suggest that Natalie Gumede is the strongest ever celebrity dancer in Strictly Come Dancing history.
The Coronation Street star has barely had a misplaced step in the early weeks of the competition and despite a painful back injury that nearly ruled her out of the Quickstep, she's never fallen below the score of 31 that she collected back in week one.
Her scores of 31, 34, 36, and two 35s aren't just consistent, they're flipping brilliant. The stats are even more impressive when you consider that the 36 came in the notoriously tricky rumba.
Gumede's previous dance experience has been well documented and she isn't ashamed to admit that she had training as a youngster. However, plenty of other former Strictly stars have had the standard acting and dance classes in their youth, but we...

Dawson said: "Ben was going to take his top off last week but he wasn't allowed. There had been complaints about me having my top open.
"Imagine that? I was like, 'Hang on a minute, Louis Smith had his top off all the time last year.' I don't know what I was showing that was so bad ... my boobies? I don't know. I have no idea."
However, a BBC spokesperson has insisted that there have not been many complaints, and no such ban has been placed.

[Left: Rebecca Adlington announces her retirement / Right: Strictly Come Dancing hosts Sir Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly]
The announcement prompted bookmakers to speculate about what Adlington might do next, giving even odds that she will sign up for this year's series of Strictly - a show she has previously expressed interest in joining.
Ladbrokes even has her at 20/1 to win the 2013 edition of Strictly, even though it is not expected to begin until September or October.
They have also offered odds of 3/1 that Adlington will reunite with fellow Team Gb star Tom Daley for the recently-announced second series of celebrity diving show Splash!.

Olympian and Strictly Come Dancing winner Louis Smith is happy to be a gay icon, but wants all us gays to remember he's really, really straight. “As long as gay people can see the line, and that I fancy women, that’s fine. I don’t want to be put in a difficult, uncomfortable situation.” We'll try to control ourselves.
Jake Shears is thrilled his friend Anderson Cooper has finally come out. He also thinks that gay celebrities have a responsibility to come out. "I think gay celebrities at least have the responsibility to come out. It can be tricky though."
Buzzfeed has a list of seven states that they think could achieve marriage equality in 2013. Illinois, Delaware, Minnesota, Hawaii, New Jersey, Rhode Island and California are in play this year. I think Minnesota is a stretch – we didn't win the fight against a constitutional amendment by much, and assuming...
