Exclusive: Karolina Wydra (Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.) has landed a lead role opposite Rhea Seehorn in the upcoming Apple TV+ series from Breaking Bad creator and Better Call Saul co-creator Vince Gilligan, Deadline has learned. The untitled project, described as a blended, grounded genre drama, has a two-season straight-to-series order.
Per usual, Gilligan is keeping all information about the show under lock and key, so Apple TV+ and producing studio Sony Pictures Television declined comment.
Believed to be a departure from the world of drugs and crime he explored in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, the new series has been jokingly nicknamed “Breaking Good.”
“After 15 years, I figured it was time to take a break from writing antiheroes… and who’s more heroic than the brilliant Rhea Seehorn?” Gilligan said at the time of the series’ announcement.

This post contains spoilers for "Ted Lasso" season 3 as well as "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
Zava: The man, the myth, the legend. The latest teammate to join AFC Richmond, the plucky team at the heart of "Ted Lasso," is none other than a fictional football great with an enigmatic presence and a flair for the dramatic. Zava (Maximilian Osinski) declared his intentions to join the team at the end of the season's second episode, right as he was about to very publicly sign on to the Chelsea roster. We don't know much about Zava yet, except that he eats too much asparagus, parades around in a man-bun and fur coat, and is able to easily hold the attention of soccer fans and players worldwide.
After the Richmond players and coaches hyped him so much ahead of his appearance, I expected Zava's role to end up being a bit of stunt casting,...

It’s been nineteen years since Frank “Frankie Fingers” Carver (Nicolas Cage) has been a free man. He’s made the best of prison despite being there for a crime his mob boss Max (Dave Kenneth MacKinnon) committed. What other choice did he have? With his wife dead, his son (hopefully) a reformed junkie, and his money buried behind a home he no longer owns, there wasn’t much else to do but try and enjoy what little control he had over what was left. And since he was serving a life sentence for murder, it would of course mean one more tragic circumstance to earn this long sought after day in the sun. Rather than exoneration, Frank has been given clemency as a result of his own mortality. He’s dying.

The Shield crew will, once again, be running very short on time to get what they need to get done in these episodes. At some point, the crew will...

Here’s a weird little Nicolas Cage trailer for you to check out for the upcoming film A Score to Settle. I can’t tell how serious I should take the movie. It seemed like a decent revenge story, but then got a little cheesy when Cage confronted the teenage hooligans. But Cage is super into it, so maybe we should be too. Here’s the synopsis for the film:
Diagnosed with a fatal condition, Frankie Carver (Nicolas Cage) is released from prison after serving 19 years of hard time. With only a short time left to live, Frankie must desperately try to make amends with the son he left behind while he plots a bloody course of revenge - tracking down his old gang to make them pay one by one.
Cage is joined in the film by Benjamin Bratt, Noah Le Gros, Mohamed Karim, Karolina Wydra, and more. Shawn Ku...

Hey, "Agents Of Shield" fans. We hope you guys enjoyed tonight's episode 10. Now that it's officially aired and forever history, it's time to go over a few things that will get shown in the next, new episode 11, which is scheduled to air next week. We've got a couple of spoiler teasers via ABC's official press release for the 11th episode of this current season 6. So, we will certainly be using that press release info for this spoiler session. To get things started, we've got a title for episode 11. It's called, "From The Ashes." It sounds like episode 11 will feature some pretty intense, suspenseful, action-filled and dangerous scenes. It turns out that the Shield crew will be in a very dire situation in this episode. Time will be of the absolute essence, and they won't have much of it. They will also be out of answers, which isn't good at all.

"What if you get killed first?" "At least I get to take a few of them down with me..." Ready for more Cage madness? Rlje Films has debuted an official trailer for an indie action drama titled A Score to Settle, the latest from filmmaker Shawn Ku (Beautiful Boy). Nicolas Cage stars in this in another crazy indie role to go with all of his other crazy indie flicks recently. Cage plays an ex-enforcer for a local crime syndicate who has vowed to enact retribution on his mob bosses after 22 years of wrongful imprisonment. The only thing diverting his violent plans is a new found relationship to his beloved son. The full cast includes Benjamin Bratt, Noah Le Gros, Mohamed Karim, Karolina Wydra, & Ian Tracey. I'm not even sure just how much action this will have, but it definitely does look like it has the perfect amount of rage for Cage to rock.

Agents of Shield Season 6 Episode 7
Sometimes a few well-written character moments, kick-ass action sequences, or surprising plot twists can save an otherwise lackluster episode of Agents of Shield, but unfortunately, although there was both heartfelt and witty dialogue in “Toldja,” there wasn’t enough of what makes this show great to compensate for a stagnant story this week. In essence, Mack and his team learned that saving shrike-infected victims is problematic, and Fitz and Simmons got momentarily trapped in a much less fun revisiting of Kitson, both of which did little to move the story forward. Even the guest stars lacked a certain panache.
That’s not Anthony Michael Hall’s or Karolina Wydra’s fault; their roles as Mr.

Twin Peaks Recap is a weekly column by Keith Uhlich covering David Lynch and Mark Frost's limited, 18-episode continuation of the Twin Peaks television series. There's a brief, very beautiful moment in Part 7 of the new Twin Peaks, during the scene in which hotelier Benjamin Horne (Richard Beymer) and his secretary Beverly Paige (Ashley Judd) are investigating a strange sound emanating from the walls of the Great Northern. Ben points in the direction that he thinks the soft, soothing tone is coming from, and for a second he seems to be pointing right at the camera—past it, really…toward our world, at those of us on the other side of the fiction/fact divide. A blink-and-you'll-miss-it breach, but it lays some subtle groundwork for what follows: The aesthetically and thematically provocative Part 8 fitted the Twin Peaks mythos into our very real history of atomic destruction. And this week's...

The new "Twin Peaks" isn't slated to debut on Showtime until 2017, but a flurry of speculation about it happened last week with a tweet from Go For Locations indicating that filming had wrapped on the "first two seasons" of the series.
The episode count for the David Lynch-directed series was always in question, but that tweet suggested we'd be getting even more episodes than originally planned. Said tweet has since been deleted, so we'll have to wait to see how that pans out.
in the meantime in more official news, Showtime, Lynch and Mark Frost has released the official cast list for the new series with a whopping 217 names across the various episodes - a list that includes some real surprise big name inclusions such as Monica Bellucci, Michael Cera, Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Eddie Vedder, Ashley Judd, Ernie Hudson, Jim Belushi, Richard Chamberlain, Laura Dern,...

There always has to be a first TV show cancellation and this season's came much later than expected. Though several new shows have been essentially cancelled (Minority Report, Blood & Oil, Truth Be Told, and The Player), they are all still on the air. On Friday the 13th, ABC pulled the plug on their newest (and lowest-rated) drama after just three episodes.
Wicked City is set on the seedy Sunset Strip in the early 1980s. It revolves around Detective Jack Roth (Jeremy Sisto) and his new partner Paco Contreras (Gabriel Luna) as they try to solve a high-profile serial killer case. The rest of the show's cast includes Ed Westwick, Erika Christensen, Taissa Farmiga, Karolina Wydra, Evan Ross, Anne Winters, and Jaime Ray Newman.

It looks like we finally have the first cancellation of the 2015-16 season. Four new shows have seen their episode orders cut (Truth Be Told, The Player, Blood & Oil, and Minority Report) but they've all stayed on the air. Tonight, ABC cancelled and pulled their low-rated Wicked City anthology drama after three airings.
Airing Tuesdays at 10pm, Wicked City had trouble right from the start. The first episode attracted a meager 0.88 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.28 million viewers.

Now, ABC has introduced another one called Wicked City. How will this one fare? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season as well? Stay tuned.

Kent Grainger (Ed Westwick, Gossip Girl) is a man of many alleged trades: a record label executive, a talent agent to the stars, and most importantly, a secret admirer.
In ABC’s Wicked City, the CW alum plays a copycat serial killer in the drug-fueled murder capital of the world — 1982 Los Angeles — where, much like Billy Idol’s then-eventual hit, he’s got nothing but flesh for fantasy.

Set in 1980s Los Angeles, there’s a plethora of movies, television shows, and books, both fictional and true, that ABC’s new crime drama Wicked City can’t help but emulate. The new series follows the beginnings of a romantic tryst between a pair of deeply scarred individuals that eventually leads to a series of brutal murders along the Sunset Strip. Sometimes the series evokes the air of Se7en, or the overbearing dread of Zodiac, but it’s fashioned and packaged inside the most redundant and rudimentary network procedural possible, and adheres to such a sour and distasteful tone, that none of the terror sticks.
That terror originates from Kent Grainger (Ed Westwick), who infiltrates bars on the Sunset Strip each night, posing as whatever his potential target might need (casting agent, real estate mogul, etc) and inviting them out to...

And finally ABC is in the game! The only network not to pick up a new series (and still the only network not to formally renew a single old series) jumped into the pre-upfronts excitement in a major way on Thursday afternoon, picking up six new dramas, several of which sound rather ambitious. Before going into depth, the basics: On Thursday (May 7) afternoon, ABC ordered the Biblical epic "Of Kings and Prophets" and the Shonda Rhimes-produced "The Catch," as well as "Wicked City" (formerly "L.A. Crime"), "The Family" (formerly Untitled Jenna Bans), "Quantico" and the Untitled Pate & Fishburne Project (formerly "Boom"). ABC no doubt has plenty more new series pickups to do ahead of the network's Tuesday, May 12 upfront presentation. Let's get to the details, because some of these new shows sound pretty interesting actually... *** "Of Kings and Prophets" comes from creators Adam Cooper & Bill Collage and it is...

With a provocative title like “Revenge,” you better believe that this week’s Scorpion was going to get real, but do we watch Scorpion because it’s real? That’s the question. Although the titular nerd herd cashes cheques from Homeland Security, there’s very rarely an ominous cloud of death coming any minute for the main characters. But on the occasion that the danger gets very real, it feels like a spasm in the show, as if the writers were asking their program to accept something it didn’t want to. “Revenge” was an exception though, as the emotional ringer that the episode puts Walter and the crew through felt like an adequate escalation in the stakes as a group of murderous thieves put a key team member in the hospital.
Initially, I feared that Scorpion was pushing us to accept danger for danger’s sake. In the opening scene,...

[Warning: This story contains spoilers from this week's episode of True Blood, "Love Is To Die."] The romance between Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) and Hoyt (Jim Parrack) was rekindled in this week's episode of True Blood. His reunion with Jessica when he saves her from Violet's (Karolina Wydra) torture chamber established an immediate attraction between the former lovers. In this
