The CW Seed has been the ancillary stomping grounds for animated versions of DC Comics’ Arrowverse characters, a chance to extend the brand with lesser-known heroes. For their third outing (after Vixen and Constantine), they smartly offered up Freedom Fighters: The Ray for two six-episode seasons, which have been edited together into a feature, on disc today from Warner Home Entertainment.
Although the two seasons arrived in December and July, they act as a prequel story to last fall’s “Crisis on Earth-x” crossover extravaganza. Here, we have the birth of the Freedom Fighters with appearances by not only the Ray but also Black Condor (Jason Mitchell), Phantom Lady (Dilshad Vadsaria), Dollman (Matthew Mercer) and Red Tornado (Iddo Goldberg). According to some behind the scenes shenanigans, the animated story was written first and when the four-parter was written for live-action, things weren’t lining up right, so the keen viewer...

If you’re a diehard fan of the Arrowverse, then odds are that you’re well aware of how it’s transcended live action television. In recent years, not only has it expanded into novels and comic books, but it’s also spilled over into the realm of animation by way of Vixen and Constantine: City of Demons.
Actually, there’s one very important offering sandwiched in between those two, and that’s Freedom Fighters: The Ray. Like its sister productions, it originally aired as a web series on the CW Seed streaming service, but has now been seamlessly cut together as a feature-length movie.
At face value, this appears to be a prequel to last fall’s DC TV crossover event, “Crisis on Earth-x,” which it essentially is, but it’s also so much more. As you may have figured, the central focus is placed on the Ray himself,...

It’s a bit difficult to find anything on a person when there isn’t a whole lot rattling around on the web. There are always sources to be found and Dilshad Vadsaria is popular enough that there are a great many sites that can offer up…virtually the same information that you can find on just one of them. It’s very easy to understand the lack of information for a new actor that hasn’t had a lot of experience yet, and even those actors that tend to come and go. But it almost seems like a lack of drive when it comes

If you’ve been even slightly attuned to pop culture in the last several decades, you’re familiar with the basic concept of Frankenstein.

What would you do if you were offered a second chance at life? Are certain individuals capable of ever making their wrongs right? Created by Rand Ravich, Fox's upcoming science fiction drama "Second Chance" explores these questions. The new series focuses on Jimmy Pritchard, a corrupt cop given a chance to redeem himself when two tech billionaires (Adhir Kalyan and Dilshad Vadsaria) embark on a mission to bring the 70-something old man, played by Philip Baker Hall, back to life as a younger man (played by Robert Kazinsky). Co-stars Adhir Kalyan, Vanessa Lengies, Ciara Bravo, Dilshad Vadsaria and Tim Dekay share their regrets and what they would do differently if given a second chance, which range from things like attending a Green Day concert instead of a soccer game, and regretfully wishing they could have videotaped their wedding. Watch the short clip and see what the cast would do differently in their own lives.

Rob Kazinsky has certainly come a long way since his days on the much parodied, long-running UK soap opera, EastEnders. After several years spent playing supporting characters in notable projects, such as True Blood, Pacific Rim and Hot Pursuit, he has finally landed his first leading role – in a brand new sci-fi/drama series for Fox, titled Second Chance.
The premise of the show is something of a mixture of classic sci-fi themes, police procedurals, and family drama. The elderly Jimmy Pritchard is a retired, disgraced La county sheriff, renowned for corruption. Despised by his family, he is murdered during a break-in at the home of his son – but two “tech billionaires” resurrect him as one of their science projects. They find that, in returning, he is much younger and has strength and stamina five times greater than that of the average adult male. This realization leads to the idea...

Fox upcoming series The Frankenstein Code is now going by the name Second Chance. We’ve also got a new trailer, here…
You might recall us talking about The Frankenstein Code a few months ago. It’s a new series from Fox, which borrows ideas from Mary Shelley’s classic horror novel Frankenstein.
The show has now changed its name to Second Chance, perhaps to distance itself from the upcoming Victor Frankenstein movie and/or ITV’s Sean Bean-starring drama The Frankenstein Chronicles. Second Chance was also called Lookinglass, at one stage.
Second Chance’s plot elements remain the same, though. Here’s the newly released synopsis…
“Seventy-five-year-old Jimmy Pritchard (Philip Baker Hall) is a shell of his former self. A drinker, a womanizer and a father who always put work before family, Pritchard was forced to resign as L.A. County Sheriff for corrupt conduct more than a decade ago.

First it was called The Frankenstein Code, then Lookinglass. Now Fox has renamed its mid-season drama, yet again, with the lackluster Second Chance. Considering Fox has already cut the first season episode order from 13 to 11, what's in a name?

Fox has renamed “The Frankenstein Code” — again. The drama starring Rob Kazinsky (“True Blood”), which was originally called “Frankenstein” in the working-title stage, will now launch next year as “Lookinglass.” “Lookinglass” follows a disgraced, 75-year-old ex-sheriff whose life ends at the hands of corrupt cops. He’s brought back to life and given a second chance by a pair of young tech scientists — twins Otto (Adhir Kalyan) and Mary (Dilshad Vadsaria) — as a 35-year-old (Kazinsky) with unpredictable near-superhuman abilities. The scientists’ company name is Lookinglass, hence the appropriate new title. Also Read: 'The Grinder' Showrunner Greg Malins Departs...

With the 2014-2015 television season winding down, many television fans and channels are looking ahead to the new series that will make their debut over the next television season. Fox is no different, having announced their renewals, cancellations, and new series pickups over the last week, and the network has now released trailers for a number of their new series.
First up is the trailer for the new animated series Bordertown.
From Family Guy’s Mark Hentemann comes Bordertown, a new animated comedy about two families living in a Southwest desert town on the U.S. – Mexico border. The series takes a satirical look at the cultural shifts occurring in America, where the U.S. Census forecasts that by 2017, ethnic minorities will become the majority. Set against this increasingly diverse backdrop, the comedy explores family, politics and everything in between with a cross-cultural wink. Bordertown centers on two clans: the Buckwalds and the Gonzalezes.

Fox's The Frankenstein Code is the latest reimagining of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. You can get your first look here...
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is an immortal tale in more ways than one, having spawned countless imitations and reimaginings over the years. The Frankenstein Code, out next year on Fox, is the latest take to feature on American TV. Here in England, ITV are concurrently working on The Frankenstein Chronicles with Sean Bean.
Fox's version is quite a radical re-thinking - they've split the role of Dr Frankenstein into two characters (comedy actor Adhir Kalyan and Revenge's Dilshad Vadsaria, playing a brother and sister duo) and shed the iconic surname. The 'monster' is now also a retired cop (played by both Philip Baker Hall and, in his reanimated form, Rob Kazinsky of True Blood) on a quest to uncover the truth about his death.

As part of this year's upfronts, Fox today announced that it had green-lit procedural The Frankenstein Code to series. The show stars Rob Kazinsky as an elderly corrupt cop who dies, only to be reborn "younger and stronger." Will he give into the sin that ruined him the first time around, or can this undead policeman find a shot at redemption? White Collar's Tim DeKay and Greek's Dilshad Vadsaria co-star. If this show is canceled, expect it to be picked up by another network, where it can fix everything that was wrong with it in the original run.
