In the upcoming horror film, Bind, which is currently in pre-production and is set it begin filming in February in Vancouver, a weekend getaway to a scenic winter wonderland takes a deadly turn when a group of friends find themselves pitted against the elements and a dark presence with a bloody agenda.
Starring in Bind is a lineup of familiar faces including some genre favorites including Edward Furlong (Night of the Demons), Emmanuelle Vaugier (Mirrors 2), Ryan Merriman (Final Destination 3), Chelan Simmons (Malibu Shark Attack), Christa Campbell (2001 Maniacs), Daniel Cudmore (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Eclipse, New Moon), Jessica Von (Bloody Mary), Kevin Gage (Laid to Rest) and P.J. Soles (Halloween). Bind is written and directed by Dan Walton. Providing the special makeup effects is Brian Sipe. Stay tuned for more info into this production as it becomes available.

We've been following writer/director Dan Walton and his journey with his horror film Bind for a while now and today we have some cool news that the website for the film has gone live (click Here), and it's a cool looking site at that! Filmmaking on a limited budget is always a difficult proposition, but when your entire budget is what most productions – even so-called “low budget” films – spend on their catering… it’s damn near impossible. And if you have plans of your finished product looking any better than your Aunt Edna’s holiday footage from Atlantic City… well, forget it.
So, it was with no small amount of trepidation that I make my way out to the Northern State Hospital one fall evening to observe one of the last days of principal photography on the direct-to-dvd film from Valentine Entertainment, The Taken. The building where shooting was to take place is an old, just this side of dilapidated, former mental institution hidden away in the forests near Sedro Woolley, Wa. Walking from my car, I can hear the sounds of an AA meeting taking place in one of the still-used buildings far...

It seems like Bind has been in the works forever and a day! Cool news has surfaced thanks to director Dan Walton that Edward Furlong, Emmanuelle Vaugier, Ryan Merriman, Kevin Gage, Daniel Cudmore, Jessica Von, Chelan Simmons, P.J. Soles and Christa Campbell have all been cast in Bind. This is great news and Walton has plans to start filming in the Winter in Vancouver, Canada.
We'll keep y'all posted on all the happenings with Bind.

In the feature a weekend getaway to a scenic winter wonderland takes a deadly turn when a group of friends find themselves pitted against the elements and a dark presence with a bloody agenda. Christa Campbell (2001 Maniacs), Al Santos (Jeepers Creepers 2, American Gangster), Wolfgang J Weber (Into The Darkness), Travis Aaron Wade (Pig Hunt), Raine Brown (100 Tears) and Jessica Von (The Taken, Bloody Mary) all star. SFX work is being handled by Brian Sipe (Star Trek, Van Helsing, Pirates of the Caribbean).

Filmmaker Dan Walton gave us the drop on a new project he's writing and directing. In March, he'll begin filming Bind starring Christa Campbell, Al Santos, Wolfgang, J. Weber, Travis Aaron Wade, Raine Brown and Jessica Von. The story tells of a weekend getaway to a scenic winter wonderland that takes a deadly turn when a group of friends find themselves pitted against the elements and a dark presence with a bloody agenda. Brian Sipe - whose work can be seen in Star Trek , Van Helsing and Pirates of the Caribbean - is on FX duties. Walton recently produced Hanger and Gutterballs . More info as it comes!
