Due to an injury the day before, she had to go on as Elphaba for
Idina Menzel on Idina's last show on January 9, 2005.
While she was still an ensemble member in "Hairspray," Shirley MacLaine
personally sought her backstage after a performance to tell her, "You
are a shining light on the stage. You are going to be a star."
While attending UCLA, she was good friends and roommates with
Kristy Cates. . Cates understudied Idina Menzel in "Wicked" while
Shoshana served as a standby. Later on, Cates understudied Bean for two
months.
Shoshana means "Rose" in Hebrew.
Left the Broadway production of "Wicked" on January 8th.

Her boyfriend, Tyler, was killed in a car accident on May 1,
2006.
She was nominated for a 2015 Joseph Jefferson Equity Award for Best Actress in a Principal Role in a Musical for "Beaches A New Musical" at the Drury Lane Productions in Chicago, Illinois.
