NEW YORK -- Breckin Meyer, Lacey Chabert, Anne Archer, Amanda Walsh and Emma Stone are joining Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner in Mark Waters' romantic comedy The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past for New Line.
McConaughey plays Connor, a womanizer who attends the wedding of his younger brother (Meyer) and bride (Chabert). There, he's haunted by several old flames, including the bride's best friend (Garner).
Archer plays the mother of the bride, a potential Connor conquest, and Walsh plays the only bridesmaid he hasn't conquered. Stone plays the supernatural Ghost of Girlfriends Past who guides him through his romantic history in this takeoff on Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
Ben Affleck was set to star in the project before Disney pulled the plug on it in October 2003.
Jon Shestack and Brad Epstein are producing the feature from Jon Lucas and Scott Moore's screenplay. Cale Boyter and Sam Brown are overseeing the project for New Line. Filming begins Feb. 19 in Boston.

Warner Bros. has picked up "Hangover", a comedy spec from Jon Lucas and Scott Moore with Todd Phillips on board to direct and produce. The deal follows Phillips' just-renewed production deal with the studio and his banner, Green Hat Films.
The story follows three friends who lose the groom at his Las Vegas bachelor party 48 hours before the wedding and must retrace their inebriated bad decisions to figure out where things went wrong.
Sources said the writers' deal was north of $2 million. The studio is eyeing "Hangover" as a prestrike movie.
Greg Silverman and Jesse Ehrman are overseeing.
Green Hat's Scott Budnick is exec producing.
"We love Todd and are thrilled to be renewing his deal," Warners president of production Jeff Robinov said. "As we look to develop more comedies at the studio, projects highlighting Todd's unique sense of humor and filmmaking style will be a key element in helping us achieve that goal."
Said Phillips: "We couldn't be happier that (Warners president and COO) Alan Horn and Jeff Robinov have the confidence and faith in what we are doing to renew our deal for another two years.
