- In 1980, Bergman lost to future World Lightheavyweight Kickboxing Champion Gary Daniels in Florida.
- In 1979, in Tampa, Florida, Bergman lost by first round knockout to Jean-Claude Van Damme after knocking Van Damme down. This was the only time in Van Damme's fight career, in which he was knocked down.
