The Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That…, first premiered in 2021. While the series is a success in terms of viewership, fans have some significant criticisms about the reboot. One of the biggest complaints has been how some of the show’s beloved characters appear to be a shadow of their former selves. Miranda Hobbes was the biggest victim of a swift and inexplicable personality change. There were several big issues fans took with Miranda, but there were also little things wrong with the formerly uptight lawyer during season 1. Miranda’s refusal to listen to podcasts was the first sign that something was seriously amiss.
Fans hated Miranda’s ‘And Just Like That…’ romance

Miranda Hobbes was the first of her pals to leave Manhattan and buy a house. In season 6 of Sex and the City, she gave up her classic Manhattan apartment and moved to Brooklyn to give her marriage and son room to grow. Decades later, Miranda was still living in the same Brooklyn home when she decided to leave married life behind. While Steve Brady and Miranda Hobbes have only briefly discussed the Brooklyn home they share in And Just Like That…, we can’t help but wonder just how much it is worth today.
Where is Miranda and Steve’s Brooklyn brownstone located?
Steve Brady and Miranda Hobbes purchased their Brooklyn abode in 2006, just as Brady Hobbes was getting mobile. While the duo never stated where the home was located, outside of Miranda uttering the word “Brooklyn” with disdain, fans have always assumed they lived in one of the borough’s trendier neighborhoods.

Before Steve Brady (David Eigenberg) and Che Diaz (Sara Ramírez) came along on Sex and the City, there was Skipper Johnston (Ben Weber). He was one of Miranda’s (Cynthia Nixon) love interests in the first season of Sex and the City and a self-proclaimed “hopeless romantic.” Skipper and Miranda’s romantic relationship was very brief. Miranda was certain from the beginning that Skipper was not her type, but he was persistent. Now that the hit HBO series is available to binge on Netflix, you might be thinking about Skipper again. He only appeared in the first two seasons, but he remains a divisive character amongst Sex and the City fans. Scroll down to get a refresher on all things Skipper Johnston and what Weber’s up to today. What happened to Skipper? Skipper made his first appearance in the pilot episode of Sex and the City. There were many iconic moments during Sex and the City‘s six-season run. Still, Matthew McConaughey yelling intensely at Carrie Bradshaw in his Hollywood office might be one of the most iconic. The scene feels a bit misplaced in the series, but it still elicits a giggle during every rewatch.
For most fans, no one but McConaughey would do in the role. He wasn’t the first to be offered the guest spot, though. It was only offered to the True Detective star because three other actors turned it down.
How Matthew McConaughey landed his iconic ‘Sex and the City’ guest spot
While it feels like only McConaughey could bring the energy needed to his infamous Sex and the City scene, it apparently could have been pretty much anyone else. In fact, McConaughey only landed the role because he was the first one to say yes. The show’s writers...

Sure, Miranda’s on-again-off-again love, Steve Brady, had a lot of good qualities. He and Miranda made great friends, and they were even effective co-parents. Still, they were all wrong for each other regarding a romantic relationship. Their romance finally came to an end when Miranda met Che and tossed her marriage to the bartender aside. We didn’t love how she treated Steve, and we didn’t love the romantic partner she picked after Steve, but we can’t say we were surprised to see the marriage end. Frankly, Miranda Hobbes had three love interests during Sex and the City that were a better fit for her overall.

Cynthia Nixon’s love life isn’t anything like her character’s in Sex and the City. She plays Miranda Hobbes in the series, an ambitious lawyer deeply distrustful of men, as much as she lacks faith in romantic relationships. But then, a chance encounter with Steve Brady’s David Eigensees her in an on-and-off relationship that eventually ends in a marriage. While Nixon’s real-life love story hasn’t been smooth sailing, she has always been open to love, so open she didn’t hesitate to pursue a same-sex romance with her current partner, Christine Marinoni. Before Marinoni, she had dated only men and was in...

Season after season, Sex and the City fans watched their four Cosmopolitan ladies date a string of losers. Even Samantha Jones, best known for treating sex like a competitive sport, managed to bed a couple of duds. Despite all of that, there were good men in the mix. Charlotte York’s second husband, Harry Goldenblatt, is a great example. Some fans would insist Carrie Bradshaw’s first fiance, Aidan Shaw, was one of the good ones, too. Finally, Samantha’s Smith Jerrod was the perfect man to get Samantha to settle down. Still, we could argue that two rejected Sex and the City love interests were actually the most respectful of their partners. Trey MacDougal and Aleksandr Petrovsky were tossed aside far too soon. They also tend to get a bad rap.

The finale of And Just Like That… season 2 was much like the rest of the season, heavily debated. When the season came to a close, Carrie Bradshaw and Aidan Shaw put their romance back on hold while Aidan dealt with his son, Wyatt. Fans have spent the days since the finale debating whether Aidan was right to ask Carrie to hang out for five years and whether Carrie should have accepted the bizarre condition. While both are great questions, we prefer to look back at the good moments in the couple’s rekindled relationship. More specifically, we hunted for all the Easter eggs that called back to the couple’s first and second go-arounds in Sex and the City. These are our three favorites.

Max officially renewed And Just Like That… ahead of its much-anticipated season two finale which will feature the return of Kim Cattrall as Samantha. Season two episode 11 – part two of “The Last Supper” – finally delivers the cameo fans of the original foursome have eagerly anticipated.
Even though Samatha won’t be sharing scenes with her former Sex and the City co-stars, Cattrall will be seen in a cameo, styled by Patricia Field and shot in secret. In an interview on Today with Hoda and Jenna, Kim Cattrall confirmed that shopping in Bergdorf’s and picking out a great outfit for her cameo felt like dipping her toe back in time and having a wonderful afternoon.
However, fans shouldn’t expect Kim Cattrall back for the just-announced third season. It seems this short cameo is a one-off and not a precursor to an extended return as Samantha.

“And Just Like That” is back on Max for a second season, and it’s bringing some famous — and familiar — faces.
Kim Cattrall confirmed that she will reprise her role of Samantha Jones in an on-camera cameo. Her character communicated with Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) via text message throughout the first season, including Mr. Big’s funeral and the Paris finale.
A slim and trim John Corbett will return as Carrie’s former fiance Aidan Shaw as she moves on from the death of her husband.
“Sex and the City” fans will also be thrilled that Candice Bergen will reprise her role as Carrie’s former editor Enid Frick. Julie Halston will also be back as socialite Bitsy Von Muffling, who is as delightful as her name.
Of course, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are back as Charlotte York Goldenblatt and Miranda Hobbes, Carrie’s longtime BFFs.

Finally, the day we’d all been hoping for has come. In a fate worse that the focus group for Ché Diaz’s failed pilot, the writers of “And Just Like That…” have forced viewers to sit through way too many episodes of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aidan Shaw’s (John Corbett) seemingly flaw-free rekindled romance. We’ve been subjected to the tighty-whities. We’ve had to sit there as Carrie called Mr. Big (Chris Noth) a “big mistake.” We’ve been expected to believe that Carrie travelled to Virginia, of all places.
But now, it seems a glimmer of a more realistic side to the fictional TV romance is showing itself. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. This week’s episode...

Sex and the City fans have had a lot of criticism for the Max reboot of the iconic series. Present-day Miranda Hobbes has gotten the most hate from Sex and the City fans, though. Once a beloved character, Miranda has been stripped down and completely changed, argue some viewers. Still, there might be more of the Old Miranda in the new Miranda’s actions than anyone realizes. We’ve collected three ways present-day Miranda is just like the Miranda of the original series.
Miranda has always expected Steve to pine for her
Miranda Hobbes might seem different, but she still treats Steve Brady the same way. It is not a compliment. In Sex and the City, Miranda toyed with Steve’s emotions and only really seemed to want to be with him when he was with other women. In season 4 of the famed series, Miranda freaked out when Steve was dating a woman named Jessica.

New York City always served as an unofficial fifth cast member on Sex and the City. The reboot, And Just Like That…, treats Manhattan in much the same way. While fans spend a fair bit of time watching Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda live in their private spaces, they do a fair bit of eating and drinking around, too. During the show’s first two seasons, Carrie and her friends have wined, dined, and grabbed coffee at dozens of New York City establishments. We’ve collected five local food spots featured on And Just Like That… that you can check out right now.

Carrie Bradshaw had two great loves in her life. Mr. Big, the first great love, died in the premiere episode of And Just Like That…, the Max reboot of the famed series. Her other great love, Aidan Shaw, is set to return in season 2 of the reboot. Ahead of his return to Carrie’s life, we can’t help but reminisce about how it all began. We’ve collected four episodes fans should watch before Carrie and Aidan rekindle their love.
The Season 3 episode, “No Ifs, Ands or Butts,” features the first look at Aidan Shaw
Aidan Shaw first appeared in the season 3 episode, “No Ifs, Ands or Butts.” In the episode, Carrie and Stanford Blatch head to a furniture store to “ogle” the craftsman. It turns out to be Aidan. Despite Carrie’s initial disinterest in going to the store, she is so taken by Aidan that she buys an expensive chair from him.

Che Diaz dumping Miranda Hobbes in episode six of And Just Like That… season 2 was the plot point fans of the original series have been waiting for. Miranda’s breakup drama with Che isn’t the only big issue she faced in the recent episode, though. Miranda and Steve will be ironing out their divorce, and it looks like their Brooklyn pad will be a point of contention. The couple purchased the home in 2004 when Brooklyn was just beginning to appeal to the masses. Nearly 20 years later, the borough is a popular destination for young families. So, just how much is Miranda and Steve’s renovated house worth? We did some digging and have the answer.
How much is Miranda and Steve’s house worth?
When Miranda and Steve decided to leave Miranda’s one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment, she wasn’t thrilled. She absolutely did not want to move to Brooklyn.

It was the split few saw coming on the “Sex and the City” Max reboot, “And Just Like That…”. Though Miranda Hobbes’ (Cynthia Nixon) relationship with Ché Diaz (Sara Ramirez) was a controversial move in the beloved franchise, the pair seemed smitten in their passionate love affair.
But in this week’s most recent episode, they call it quits just moments after Miranda finally decides to proceed with her divorce from her estranged husband, Steve Brady (David Eigenberg).
In an interview conducted with USA Today before the SAG-AFTRA strike, Ramirez, the nonbinary actor who plays the on-screen nonbinary comedian, discussed the trajectory of Miranda and Ché’s tumultuous relationship that ultimately ended in heartbreak.
Sara Ramirez as Ché Diaz and Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes in “And Just Like That…” Season 2.
Calling Ché a “very truthful character,” Ramirez said, “They tell you the truth whether you like what you’re hearing or not.

A bomb cyclone storm, a condom scavenger hunt, two emotional breakups, and one crucial email dominated Thursday’s episode of the “Sex and the City” Max reboot, “And Just Like That”.
Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) proved she’s still working girl goals as she kicked off the episode rearranging her laptop in the perfect configuration for a Zoom interview only to have the interviewer ask her favorite lip color when she was trying to discuss her new memoir about the death of her husband, Mr. Big (Chris Noth). Thankfully the computer “literally leapt to its death” so she could get out of that nightmare.

Miranda Hobbes and Che Diaz’s situationship is among the most hated storylines of And Just Like That…, the controversial Sex and the City reboot. The couple took their flirtation to the next level by the end of season 1, and season 2 opened with Miranda in California to support Che’s TV career. The relationship made no sense for fans of the original series, and Miranda’s personality changes just don’t sit right. The events of Season 2, prove that Miranda and Che’s relationship is not meant to be, despite Miranda’s insistence that she is living in a rom-com. Could a breakup be coming? We sure hope so.

David Eigenberg has spent much of his career playing bartenders. He appeared in Sex and the City as Miranda Hobbes’ bartending love interest, Steve Brady. When that series ended, Eigenberg took on a role in Chicago Fire. He portrays Christopher Herrmann, a firefighter, and part-owner of a bar in the series. While Eigenberg is perfectly comfortable playing bartenders and owners, he does not drink. David Eigenberg has been sober for more than 30 years.
Who did David Eigenberg play in ‘Sex and the City’
David Eigenberg had some acting jobs before Sex and the City, but the series is largely considered his breakout role. Eigenberg portrayed Steve Brady, Miranda Hobbes’ love interest. Miranda met Steve at the bar where he worked in season 2. The duo had what Miranda believed to be a one-night stand, but Steve had other plans.
The duo started dating but broke up when Steve couldn’t handle Miranda’s professional success.

Sex and the City fans voiced many complaints about season 1 of And Just Like That…, the Max reboot of the iconic series. Miranda Hobbes’ storyline and how the show treated Steve Brady received the most backlash. It wasn’t just Miranda cheating on Steve that bothered fans, though. It was the way the show portrayed him entirely. He wasn’t a sexy but immature bartender anymore. He jumped straight to a stereotypical feeble old man. Steve seemed bewildered and weak in season 1. He acted disoriented often, and his hearing loss was mentioned too often. Clearly, the writing team was overemphasizing his “age-related” ailments. A correction has been made. Steve appeared for the first time in season 2 in episode 4, “Alive!,” and he certainly seemed more active than in season 1. So, is Steve going to get a redemption storyline? Maybe.

Max dropped the first two episodes of And Just Like That… season 2 on June 22. The reboot’s inaugural season was incredibly successful for the streaming service provider but received plenty of criticism from fans. While fans awaited the arrival of season 2, the cast and crew tried to convince fans that they had been heard and season 2 would look and feel a bit more like the original Sex and the City. After watching the first two episodes, we must say that while it isn’t Sex and the City, And Just Like That… season 2 is off to a good start. The team behind the series has seemingly addressed these three major fan complaints.

Twenty-five years into the “Sex and the City” franchise, Cynthia Nixon isn’t afraid to strip down on season 2 of the show’s Max spinoff, “And Just Like That”.
The 57-year-old actress plays lawyer-turned-live-in-girlfriend Miranda Hobbes, who left behind her marriage to Steve Brady (David Eigenberg) and her busy professional life to travel to California with non-binary comedian Ché Diaz (Sara Ramirez) at the end of season 1.
Ahead of the June 22 premiere of season 2, both Nixon and Ramirez opened up to Et about Miranda and Ché’s journey, including Nixon’s willingness to strip down for some of their steamy scenes.
“I feel like I was always fairly game for it,” Nixon tells Et’s Nischelle Turner of showing skin. “It’s just one of the main subjects of the show is sex — people having sex and people having great sex and people having terrible sex and people having hilarious sex.

I swear, this review is not a defense of Che Diaz.
I won’t apologize for their crimes against stand-up comedy, their pursuit of gold in the Identity Olympics, or the way they make their paramour Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) walk on egg shells whenever they’re breathing the same air. Sara Ramirez’s Che is smarmy and self-absorbed. They’re ostensibly a comic by profession, but have no clue how to produce or wield humor. (“The only thing I’m worried about is that spice all over your lips,” they clunkily purr to a fretting Miranda. “Because I’m not trying to have curry-lingus later.”) Che is what haters’ dreams are made of. And if Twitter memes are to be taken as fact, they are the complete opposite of a fan favorite: They’re a fan bête noire.
Which is precisely why I love the existence of Che Diaz. On...

Change is in the air for Season 2 of “And Just Like That.” Max has released the first official trailer for the second installment of its “Sex and the City” spinoff series, which is set to premiere June 22 on the streaming service.
“You don’t move on because you’re ready to. You move on because you’ve outgrown who you used to be,” Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) says in the first moments of the trailer.
Mostly composed of quick jokes from this upcoming season, the video doesn’t offer many details about what fans can expect. But it’s still possible to piece together some upcoming plot points. Carrie, a year removed from the death of Big (Chris North), has officially returned to her iconic Manhattan apartment. Even more surprisingly, she actually uses her stove to boil an egg, a place that only used to serve as extra storage.

And Just Like That… season 2 is scheduled to premiere on June 22. Ahead of the reboot’s sophomore season premiere, Max released a trailer and promotional photos. The trailer didn’t bring any big surprises. Che Diaz and Miranda Hobbes are still together, Aidan Shaw will return to rekindle his romance with Carrie Bradshaw, and Charlotte York and Harry Goldenblatt are floating along in wedded bliss. The promotional photos suggest another romance could be budding. Brady Hobbes and Lily Goldenblatt look a bit cozier than they did during the show’s inaugural season.

Sex and the City was one of the most groundbreaking shows of its time. While much about the series hasn’t aged well, it remains a cult classic that amasses new fans with each passing day. While there were many wonderful Sex and the City episodes produced, there are a few that stand out. We’ve collected our favorite episode from each season for your consideration.
The cast of ‘Sex and the City’ | 1999 Paramount Pictures Season 1
Season 1 of Sex and the City focused heavily on Carrie Bradshaw’s sex column. That doesn’t mean the best episode heavily concentrated on Carrie, though. The absolute best episode of the inaugural season centered largely around Samantha Jones.
In episode 9, “The Turtle and the Hare,” the girls deal with the emotional fallout of attending a friend’s wedding. Feeling dejected, Samantha agrees to spend time with Bernie Turtletaub, a man with awful breath.

And Just Like That… season 2 is set to premiere in June. While the inaugural season of the Sex and the City reboot was heavily watched, it was also heavily criticized by fans, many of whom missed the airiness of the original series. One storyline was more despised than all the rest. Fans really hated Miranda Hobbes’ decision to cheat on Steve Brady with Che Diaz. While many have argued that any cheating storyline would have been unacceptable, the show originally planned for a romance to bloom between Miranda and Nya Wallace, her professor. So, why didn’t it happen? Cynthia Nixon had a hand in the final decision.

Both fans and critics have been anxiously awaiting the show’s return, and now we have an official release date. Sex and the City could be described in a lot of different ways. It was provocative, it was sultry, and it was funny. Very few people would describe the show about a sex columnist as “wholesome,” though. Even though it’s certainly not the first word that comes to mind when we think of the series, Sex and the City did have some seriously wholesome moments. We’ve collected our three favorites.
Magda was stern, but she offered a seriously wholesome ‘Sex and the City’ moment
Miranda Hobbes’ housekeeper turned nanny was a motherly figure in many ways. While stern, Magda also seemed to understand Miranda and cared deeply for Brady Hobbes. In the season 6 finale, “Part Deux,” she offered up one of the most wholesome Sex and the City moments of the entire series.

For fans of And Just Like That and Sex and the City, an important question has finally been answered. Aidan Shaw will, in fact, be featured in the second season of And Just Like That.
But before you get excited about a possible reconnection with Carrie, note that a popular fan theory indicates that Aidan may only be on the show briefly. His return may be more of a guest appearance than a permanent status.
Confirmed: Aidan Shaw will be back soon
There was always speculation that Aidan would be returning to the series. But actor John Corbett either made jokes about the rumor or was vague. And it may not have been in the original plans. But recently, fans were treated to social media photos of Carrie and Aidan walking together, holding hands, and even sharing a kiss. This indicates that their on-again, off-again romance may be back on.

And Just Like That… season 1 was lambasted by fans. Despite harsh criticism, the series remains HBO Max’s most successful original series to date, and season 2 is on the horizon. Considering how many people watched the first season to its conclusion, there has to be something good about the series. We think there is, at least. We’ve collected five aspects of the show’s first season that we absolutely loved. Do you agree?
Here us out, Mr. Big’s death was an absolute necessity Carrie and Mr. Big | Craig Blankenhorn/HBO
We were as shocked as anyone else when Mr. Big died in the final moments of the show’s first episode. Some of us even vowed not to watch another moment (we broke the vow quickly). Still, after viewing the rest of the episodes and putting a bit of space between ourselves and season 1, we must say his death was necessary.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon have starred as Carrie Bradshaw and Miranda Hobbes in Sex & the City and its sequels since the ’90s. The two actors have something else in common, too. They both began their careers when they were very young and appeared in a movie together as young teens.
Parker first appeared on Broadway in The Innocents when she was 11 years old. Two years later she played the starring role in Annie. She went on to star in the early ’80s sitcom Square Pegs before her roles in major films such as Footloose and Girls Just Want to Have Fun.
Nixon was also a preteen actor with her first role being in an ABC Afterschool Special. Her film debut was in 1980’s Little Darlings, and in that same year, she first appeared on Broadway.

We get it; everyone hates Che Diaz. The non-binary comedian was introduced in season 1 of And Just Like That… and they didn’t stand a chance. Not only did the character feel one-dimensional, but they were the person who came between Steve Brady and Miranda Hobbes, ending their decades-long marriage. Still, we think there is room for Che to grow in season 2, and maybe all of the Che hate is a bit misplaced. We are here to defend Che Diaz.
Che was not to blame for Miranda and Steve’s breakup
While Sex and the City fans argued a lot was wrong with Che, their biggest transgression was breaking up Miranda Hobbes and Steve Brady. Fans always loved the couple together, so anyone who came between them would have been a villain. If we look at things carefully, though, Che really wasn’t to blame for any of that.

Sex and the City fans who once loved Miranda Hobbes have switched directions. The once-beloved independent lawyer is getting a lot of hate after everything that transpired in season 1 of And Just Like That…, the HBO Max reboot of the beloved series. Instead of fawning over Miranda, fans are now seeking vengeance for Miranda’s scorned husband, Steve Brady. Don’t get us wrong. We want to see Steve Brady get the justice he deserves, too. We simply don’t think it is as simple as all that, though. Despite that, we think Miranda Hobbes deserves some defending.
Miranda was never really happy in her marriage
Was Miranda Hobbes cold when she ended her marriage to Steve Brady? Absolutely. She could have been gentler and a lot kinder about things. She certainly could have softened the blow a little, but if we look at their marriage honestly, Miranda didn’t throw away a “perfect” union.

Sex and the City fans had a lot of critiques for season one of And Just Like That…, the HBO Max reboot of the famed series. While there was plenty to like, fans largely hated what the series did to Steve Brady, Miranda Hobbes’ loveable husband. Since the end of season 1, fans have been calling for justice for Steve. We’ve been giving it a lot of thought, and we think there is just a single storyline that would satisfy the desire for justice.
‘Sex and the City’ fans argue that Steve Brady was robbed in ‘And Just Like That…’
Season 1 of And Just Like That… had many questionable storylines. Miranda Hobbes cheating on Steve Brady and leaving him for Che Diaz was among the worst. The cheating storyline isn’t the only way the character was shortchanged in season 1 of the HBO Max reboot.

Sex and the City was appointment TV in the 1990s. Every Sunday night audiences sat down to see what was going on in the lives of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte York (Kristen Davis), and Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon).
The series was based on the book of the same name by Candace Bushnell.
When the 6th and final season came to a close, Carrie ended up with her true love Mr. Big (Chris Noth), and we finally learned his real name.
The Sex & the City movie came out a few years later, and we saw Big leave Carrie at the altar, but the two finally tied the knot at the end.

Che Diaz exploded onto the scene in And Just Like That… and completely upended Miranda Hobbes’ life. By the time the show’s first season was over, Miranda had ended her nearly 20-year marriage and rejected an illustrious internship to follow Che to California. Sex and the City fans understandably hated it. While Che is returning for season 2 of the HBO Max reboot, fans may see a storyline they find more enjoyable. We think there may be a few clues that Che and Miranda are no more.

Che Diaz got a lot of hate from Sex and the City fans. Fans of the original series took to social media to call out the podcaster and comedian, claiming the character was obnoxious and poorly written. However, fans took the most issue with Che and Miranda’s cheating and relationship storyline.

‘And Just Like That…’ Sarah Jessica Parker Calls Carrie and Aidan Reunion ‘Happy, Fun, and Familiar’
Sarah Jessica Parker and John Corbett have been spotted together on the set of And Just Like That… Corbett, who portrayed Aidan Shaw in Sex and the City, has excited fans with his appearance. Some wonder if Aidan and Carrie will be giving love another try. While no one from the show is willing to give a definitive answer just yet, Sarah Jessica Parker did offer fans a little teaser when she caught up with Extra at her New York City shoe store.
Sarah Jessica Parker said Carrie and Aidan’s storyline will be ‘happy, fun and familiar’
Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t sharing too much information about the upcoming storyline between Carrie Bradshaw and Aidan Shaw. Still, she isn’t against teasing. After all, the show’s official Instagram show teased romance and based on what Parker told Extra earlier this week, love very well could be in the air for the former flame.

And Just Like That… the reboot of the mega-popular HBO series Sex and the City premiered in 2021, and fans were overjoyed. Audiences couldn’t wait to see what was new in the lives of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon) and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), although Samantha was not seen on screen.
Shockwaves ran through homes and watch parties when Carrie’s husband, and love of her life, John, aka “Big” (Chris Noth), died of a sudden heart attack in the very first episode.
We grieved with Carrie and felt for her as she recovered from the loss of Big, and even began dating. We also followed as Miranda ended her marriage to Steve Brady (David Eigenberg) and fell for Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez). Then there were the trials and tribulations of Charlotte’s marriage to Harry Goldenblatt (Evan Handler) and life with their two daughters.

After news broke on Tuesday that Willie Garson had died, stars took to social media to pay tribute to the actor who won audiences over as Stanford Blatch in “Sex and the City” and Theodore “Mozzie” Winters in “White Collar,” among other roles.
Garson’s career began in the ’80s, when he played small roles in shows like “Cheers” and appeared in the Ted Bundy TV movie “The Deliberate Stranger.” His profile rose in 1996 when he took on the recurring role of Henry Coffield in “NYPD Blue,” then “Sex and the City” made him a household name in 1998. His character Stanford Blatch was Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker)’s gay best friend, a witty and stylish talent agent.
