"Mr. Pilgrim!!" If you haven't already heard, Netflix has made an anime version of the Scott Pilgrim comics. But it's not just an adaptation! Creator Bryan Lee O'Malley has updated his comic book stories with much more and the series goes beyond the story seen in the movie and in his books. It's streaming now on Netflix for anyone who wants to watch. This trailer is the official Japanese trailer (here's the US one) for the anime called Scott Pilgrim Takes Off – スコット・ピルグリム テイクス・オフ in Japanese. Scott Pilgrim is back, but not in the way anyone expected. The new Netflix animated series “Scott Pilgrim Takes Off” is both a continuation of the “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” story and a complete recontextualization of what transpired, twisting and morphing the source material into something completely new. And who better to do it than the author responsible for creating “Scott Pilgrim” in the first place?
The anime “Scott Pilgrim Takes Off” is created by Bryan Lee O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski, and while it begins similarly to “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” a shocking twist at the end of Episode 1 soon takes this story in a different direction.
Edgar Wright, who co-wrote and directed the 2010 film adaptation “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” is involved in this new series as an executive producer and he also helped bring a big piece of the puzzle together: the cast.

Akuma Kun is an anime series directed by Junichi Sato, and Fumitoshi Oizaki. The series is set to be released on November 9 on Netflix. It’s based on the manga by Shigeru Mizuki.
If you’re in the mood for a enjoyable Japanese animated series with a “retro” vibe, then you’re in luck because here comes Akuma Kun. He’s not the friendliest or funniest guy, but that’s why he’s quite amusing.
He has come to Earth to confront demons through pentagrams, curses, and more, but neither the demons nor society will make it easy for him or his assistant, Mephistopheles, who complains all day long.
This is a very entertaining series featuring the star Yuki Kaji, a true gem in Japanese voice acting who once again showcases his talent and versatility.

In one of the most surprising turns of last year, at least from an international standpoint, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train” became the highest-grossing film of all time in Japan. A direct sequel to the popular anime show, the movie is now set to take the world by storm, having graced theatres on the international stage. No doubt the film’s preceding reputation has set expectations high, but does it live up to the hype?
Continuing directly where the anime series left off, demon slayer Tanjiro (Natsuki Hanae) boards the Mugen Train with fellow corps members Inosuke (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) and Zenitsu (Hiro Shimono) to investigate demon activity. Once onboard, they join forces with the powerful Hashira warrior, Rengoku Kyojuro (Satoshi Hino), and soon become engaged with a fearsome demon that is feasting on the train’s passengers. Tormented by the past and faced with a formidable foe,...

Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is a feature-length sequel to the first season of the popular anime series Demon Slayer, which is currently streaming on Netflix. To give some idea of just how successful the film has been in its own country, it recently unseated Spirited Away, becoming the highest grossing Japanese film in history.
Fans of the 2019 TV series will require no introduction to the concepts or the characters, but whether or not the film can be understood and appreciated by total newcomers is a different story. On balance, the answer is probably yes, just about – the animation is spectacular and the storytelling is clear enough to be understood by people who are just boarding the train for the first time, even...

Fans have been waiting for this series for way too long. I’m still bummed that we have to continue to wait until 2017. and all I have to say is that season two better be worth the wait and the patience. The series was supposed to premiere this year, but it was postponed.
