Stefan Colson makes his feature directorial debut based on a screenplay by Brandon Cahela about a sheriff and his deputy who dealing with a band of outlaws in the dying town of Red Ridge.

Zeitgeist Films and Kino Lorber on Tuesday said they have co-acquired U.S. rights to Ken Loach’s Sorry We Missed You, which had its world premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. The news comes as the pic readies for a screening at the Toronto Film Festival next month. Screen Media has bought U.S. distribution rights to Josh Hutcherson’s animated movie “Elliot: The Littlest Reindeer” and set a holiday-season release for Nov. 30, Variety has learned exclusively.

Jason Moring’s Toronto-based Double Dutch International (Ddi) has come on board to handle two new sales titles in Berlin, boarding international rights to Mark Pellington’s Nostalgia and Romans starring Orlando Bloom.
Nostalgia stars Jon Hamm, Catherine Keener, Bruce Dern and Ellen Burstyn and explores the meaning of objects, artifacts and memories that shape our lives.
Pellington co-wrote the screenplay with Alex Ross Perry, who wrote the upcoming Disney release Christopher Robin, and produced the film with Tom Gorai, his collaborator on Arlington Road. Bleecker Street will release Nostalgia theatrically in North America on February 16.

Karen Leigh Hopkins’ film recently wrapped production in Ohio and centres on an elementary school teacher who moonlights as a vigilante.
Holmes stars alongside James Badge Dale, whose credits include Toronto entry Parkland, Iron Man 3 and Stretch.
Crazy Heart producers Rob Carliner and Eric Brenner are producing. Rob Carliner Productions and Wiretap Films are the production entities and Mark Benton Johnson, Hopkins and Holmes serve as executive producers.
