I'm a Peruvian-American CG visual development artist and filmmaker in the animation industry. My adolescent years were spent in the heart of Houston, Texas, though my passion for animation was also greatly influenced by the diverse countries I experienced during my early childhood. These countries ranged from the vibrant and thunderous tropics of Malaysia to the sprawling deserts of Qatar. These experiences played a significant role in shaping my artistic aspirations.
I was gifted the amazing opportunity to work with DreamWorks Animation TV on their new gateway-horror show "CURSES!" where I worked as a lighting/compositing artist for the series' assets. The show tapped into my love for the darker and eerier conceptions in animated films like The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Secret of NIMH. The show has since received a nomination from the Annies with my direct involvement in the lighting/compositing for the nominated episode, "The Baboon Temple".
One of my proudest achievements is my self-directed CG animated film, "Novalis". It has graced the screens of multiple film festivals worldwide and even claimed the title of "Best Animated Film" at the Oregon Independent Film Festival. It won in direct competition with the Academy Award-Nominated animated short, "One Small Step".
