John Alieu Carew was a professional footballer between 1997 and 2012. He played 91 times for the Norwegian national team and scored 24 times. Carew was especially known for his physical attributes and his ability. During his spell in England, Carew became a cult hero for Aston Villa Football Club, In total, Carew scored 38 goals in 123 Premier League matches. After retirement from football, Carew had his first film role in 'Dead of Winter' (2014). He the star of the Norwegian TV-series 'Heimebane' (Home Turf) where he plays an ex-professional footballer (although fictional).
