Global Digital Releasing has acquired worldwide rights to the slapstick action/comedy Garlic & Gunpowder. The film stars Steven Chase, James Duvall, Martin Kove, Felissa Rose, Vivica A. Fox and Michael Madsen and will seerelease in North American on Friday, March 16th.
The film centers on a news report warning that a comet is on track to hit and possibly destroy the planet - or not, depending on who you talk too. However, some of the city’s super rich aren’t taking any chances and they devise a plan to stash much of their wealth in bunkers....just in case.

We are premiering the poster and trailer for the very indie action comedy movie Garlic & Gunpowder. Harrison Smith's (Camp Dread and Zombie Killers: Elephants Graveyard) small budget action comedy was picked up for distribution by Global Digital Releasing. This particular film has many stars of old in it. There is Michael Madsen and Vivica A. Fox right there. Also, they do not point him out specifically but Martin 'Sweep the leg' Kove is also in this. That is worth the price of admission alone, right? Global Digital Releasing has acquired worldwide rights to the slapstick Action-Comedy Garlic And Gunpowder starring Steven Chase, James Duvall, Lainie Kazan, Judy Tenuta, Martin Kove, Dean McDermott, Felissa Rose, Vivica A. With the highly-anticipated horror Death House being released in cinemas on March 2nd, I got a chance to ask director Harrison Smith about how he became involved in the film, working with such an ensemble cast of horror icons, his filmmaking influences and what Really frightens him… In Part One of a two-part, extra juicy, extra-long chat! Check it out:
How did you first get involved with Death House?
It was brought to me by Rick Finkelstein and Steven Chase at Entertainment Factory, they had been working with Michael Eisenstadt, who was Gunnar Hansen’s agent, they came to a screening of Zombie Killers at UCLA and afterwards they said “Oh we have this movie we’d like to pitch to you to see if you might want to direct and possibly write it” and I said “Yeah sure, I like to work. It’s a good thing to eat and get bills paid…...

With the highly-anticipated horror Death House being released in cinemas on 23rd February 2018, I got a chance to speak with actor Yan Birch about the legacy of People Under the Stairs (1991), his character in Death House and hanging out with friends on the set.
How did you first get into acting?
My father was in the business in Sweden. Mostly Cabarets and Comedy shows. He was also a musician, so I grew up in a very creative arts environment. I started with music and then moved on to hosting a TV-Show in my teens. Then it continued from there.
You have had various roles over your career, but you are best known for your performance the Stairmaster from People Under the Stairs (1991). Did you think that the character would still be so popular over 25 years later?
I had no idea that anything like this would happen… I did know anything...

Tape 407, along the lines of The Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield, and Apollo 18 is a horror faux documentary featuring "lost footage" — described in the film's press release as "too real for reality and too disturbing for fiction." Tape 407 opens with a group of people, including one pesky teenager with a camera, flying from New York to Los Angeles on New Year's Eve. Things go wrong when their plane hits extreme turbulence mid-flight, which leads to wild panic among the passengers until the plane crashes in a remote area. The bloody and disoriented survivors then discover they're not alone in the darkness. Unknown predators relentlessly start pursuing them. Unbeknownst to the victims, their planed crashed in a Us government-testing area, and those predators belong to the government's top-secret Mesa Experiment. Tape 407 was directed by Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin, from a screenplay by Fabrigar, Wallin, and Robert Shepyer.
