23-time Grand Slam singles champion Serena Williams recently confessed to an eye-opening experience of raising two children, saying, 'It's definitely not easy.'
Juggling motherhood with business ventures has its own set of challenges, and the 23-time Grand Slam was looking for parental tips in the wake of giving birth to newborn daughter Adira River Ohanian , just over a month ago.

Alexis Ohanian, the husband to 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams, urged responsible stakeholders to invest in tennis in the wake of massive viewership of the 2023 US Open women's final.
19-year-old Coco Gauff squared off against new Wta No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka last Saturday, a match that garnered an impressive 3.42 million viewers in the United States, trumping the men's final by a considerable margin of more than a million in viewership. Gauff won a maiden major title at the end of the night .
By contrast, 2.32 million tuned in to see Novak Djokovic beat Daniil Medvedev to win a record-tyring 24th Grand Slam title 24 hours later . Ohanian pointed out the substantial difference in TV numbers and made his intentions clear in a series of posts on X (formerly known as Twitter).
One user tried to disregard the message saying that an American's presence in the women's final swung those numbers in their favor.

Serena Williams ' emotional retirement at the 2022 US Open closed the curtain on a once-in-a-generation career.
Throughout her playing days, which lasted over 20 years, Williams won 23 Grand Slam singles titles, and she is regarded as one of the best-ever tennis players of all time. Yet, like all of the sporting greats, the time eventually comes to make way, and this moment arose for Serena at Flushing Meadows last season when she lost against Ajla Tomljanovic in the US Open third round.
Bidding farewell to a home crowd in New York was a fitting send-off for the tennis icon. But after all the intense ups and downs of a star-studded career, Williams' retirement has brought about new challenges and opportunities from motherhood to sports investments.

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian have together made two of the cutest kids: their daughters, Alexis Olympia and Adira River Ohanian. The couple, who got engaged in December 2016 and married in November 2017, treat Olympia like she's their whole world, and now she's sharing all the attention with her baby sister, who was born in August 2023.
Olympia was born in 2017. Between tennis serves and Nike campaigns, Williams spends as much time with her girl as humanly possible, and when Ohanian isn't helping to build tech empires, he's trying to figure out how to do his daughter's hair. In between that, the proud parents honor little Olympia's milestone moments, too.
In May 2022, Williams and Ohanian celebrated Olympia's first dance recital, with Ohanian sharing a snap of the couple happily posing with their daughter via an Instagram post. "First ballet recital for @olympiaohanian in the books...

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian shocked the world when they announced their engagement in December 2016, but since then, they haven't been shy about putting their love on full display. Despite keeping a low profile, the couple's romance can actually be traced back to 2015. The tennis champion and Reddit cofounder reportedly first hit it off that year, and Alexis was front and center cheering on Serena at the 2015 US Open. He continued to hint at the romance throughout 2016, but he didn't pop up on Serena's Instagram until August 2016 when she shared a group photo of them hanging out with friends.

Serena Williams revealed the gender of her second baby, but it was in a way that even she did not expect.
Revealing a baby's gender turned into a special celebration over the past few years, and Williams' former Wta colleague, Naomi Osaka, also recently had a beautiful gender reveal . For Serena, this wasn't the first rodeo, but the reveal was special.
But the reveal probably wasn't as Williams, who, according to some, retired too early , probably expected. And it was all because of her husband, Alexis Ohanian, who prepared a special surprise for Serena and their first daughter Olympia.
The two shared their 'Big Reveal' in a YouTube video , in which Ohanian explains the whole situation. Initially, he made his wife Serena and daughter Olympia think that the baby's gender would be hidden inside a cake, which they cut. But once they made the cut, the cake was yellow, to everyone's surprise.

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian's 5-year-old daughter, Olympia, has been asking to be a big sister for some time now. While Williams revealed her second pregnancy to the world on May 1 at the 2023 Met Gala, the tennis champion broke the big news to Olympia earlier that day and shared the sweet moment in a behind-the-scenes YouTube video she posted on May 23.
At the start of the clip, Williams shows her positive pregnancy test and precludes her daughter's reaction, saying, "Olympia does not know right now that I am pregnant, but she did call me fat and then she got really, like, stressed out. She was like, 'Mommy, you're fat.' I tried not to take it personal 'cause I'm like, super into fitness, but I'm like, 'Um, am I?'"
Williams and Ohanian then sit Olympia down later in the video to share that they're expecting another little one.

Aneesh Chaganty's "Searching," was a truly inventive thriller, depicting a father's search for his missing daughter as played out entirely in the digital space. In the 2018 film, John Cho's David Kim doggedly tracks down his missing daughter Margot (Michelle La) in an intense scramble across websites, phone videos, security cameras, and virtual desktops. The Chaganty-helmed project was a minor hit, and a messier but just as thrilling anthology sequel, "Missing," arrived earlier this year.
Directed by "Searching" editors Will Merrick and Nick Johnson, "Missing," carries on the central conceit of someone desperately looking for a lost relative via digital means. In the film, Storm Reid's June searches for her missing mother (Nia Long) who disappears on a trip to Colombia. And just as some viewers noticed a whole alien invasion narrative playing out as an easter egg in "Searching," "Missing" appears to be telling a whole superhero origin story in secret.

This post contains spoilers for "Missing."
"Missing," the sequel to 2018's Screenlife movie "Searching," is in theaters now, and while this follow-up is perhaps not quite as electrifying as the first movie since the format has become a bit more familiar to audiences, it's still a wildly entertaining and twisty thrill ride that keeps the audience guessing and expands the scope of this franchise in fascinating ways. The filmmaking team behind the first movie have all returned for "Missing," albeit in a shuffled capacity. On "Searching," Aneesh Chaganty served as co-writer and director; Sev Ohanian was a co-writer and producer; Natalie Qasabian was a producer, and Will Merrick and Nick Johnson served as editors and "directors of screen photography," having generated every digital asset in the movie from scratch.

Onyx Collective came armed with news during its presentation Saturday at the Sundance Film Festival.
Disney’s Tara Duncan-led quasi studio has put a Queen of Sheba scripted drama series in development. Onyx, which produces content exclusively for Hulu, has also nabbed two documentaries out of the snowy fest: Questlove’s untitled Sly Stone feature and Ryan Coogler’s Anthem.
Sheba, which is also exec produced by Coogler, is co-created by Chantelle Wells (Showtime’s Yellowjackets) and actress-writer-producer Azie Tesfai (Supergirl). The drama explores the rise to power of the first queen on the continent of Africa as she seeks to unite the nation now known as Ethiopia, making it one of the richest, most formidable kingdoms in the world. Inspired by true events, the potential series follows Makeda into a world of danger, deceit and political intrigue as she is forced to step into a role that no one,...

2018’s sleeper hit, Searching, showed you could create an effective edge-of-your-seat mystery thriller told exclusively through the use of the screens that dominate our daily lives in this century. It starred John Cho as a father whose 16-year-old daughter disappears, leading him to use all the tools of the internet to try and trace her steps in order to find her. Its follow-up, Missing, actually improves on that idea with a different story and set of characters, taking it several leaps further in creating a corker of a suspense picture that looks like what a filmmaking master such as Hitchcock might have made had he been an It genius too.
Watching Searching, which was directed and cowritten (with Sev Ohanian) by Aneesh Chaganty, I kept thinking how the real stars of the piece were the film editors who had to put together a puzzle of images in order to create a coherent story.

Under Aneesh Chaganty's supervision, the term "doomscrolling" takes on new life. Scrolling through Twitter is bad enough all on its own, but imagine slogging through social media in the hopes of uncovering clues that unlock the mysterious disappearance of your missing loved one. Unfortunately for them, that's the stressful situation that two of Chaganty's protagonists find themselves in.
First came "Searching," the taut 2018 thriller that marked Chaganty's directorial feature debut. Told entirely through the computer screens and smartphones used to investigate, the film tells the gripping story of a father searching for his missing daughter. Not only did it deliver as a solid, blood-pumping, and extremely twisty thriller, but also as an innovative spin on the screen life sub-genre. So naturally, a sequel was next up on the docket, and filmmakers Chaganty and Sev Ohanian landed on a familiar premise that flips the script: This time around, it's a...

Five years ago, Searching, an ingeniously shot, choreographed, and edited mystery-thriller, co-written by first-time filmmaker Aneesh Chaganty and starring John Cho, premiered at a yearly film festival in Park City, Utah. The definition of “crowd-pleaser,” Searching kept audiences rapt with its twisty plot, screens-within-screens narrative device, and one of Cho’s strongest lead turns as a widowed father desperately searching for his missing teenage daughter. It impressed general audiences too, turning a sizable profit as a result, opening studio doors for Chaganty and co-writer Sev Ohanian in the process. A direct sequel, though, to a one-and-done story seemed improbable. Instead, Chaganty and Ohanian, serving as story writers and producers only, turned over full screenwriting and directorial duties to former editors Nicholas D. Johnson and Will Merrick...

Aneesh Chaganty's "Searching," the John Cho-led thriller which played out entirely across screens and devices, was an inventive, edge-of-your-seat experience that ended up being one of the best films of 2018. A father's search for his missing daughter was the driving force behind the film's plot, but eagle-eyed viewers quickly noticed an entirely different story playing out in the corners of the frame: an alien invasion. The film's main characters never personally engage with this storyline (they're a little preoccupied), but if you look closely, you'll see news articles, YouTube videos, and Facebook trending topics about green atmospheric anomalies appearing in the sky, culminating with NASA calling a meeting at the White House to address the invasion.

When Aneesh Chaganty and Sev Ohanian's "Searching" debuted in 2018, the form-breaking and narratively inventive picture taking place entirely within the digital world served notice of a new and very different kind of movie. Although maybe not as unprecedented a phenomenon as when audiences first saw that train headed right for them (allegedly), "Searching" sent shockwaves through the industry and proved that "Millennial-minded" movies could be so much more than a pejorative. The novelty of the experience, combined with a razor-sharp script and a sizzling lead performance by John Cho, immediately set itself apart from the rest of its peers — especially those (think "Unfriended" or "Cam") that similarly grappled with the idea of putting the "modern" in "modern art" through a freshly 21st-century lens.

It’s the dawn of a new era at Pearpop. The social media marketing service, which launched in 2020 to facilitate collaborations on TikTok, has raised 18 million in what is being described as an addition to its Series A. On the heels of its fresh funding, Pearpop has also revealed a pair of new products.
To date, Pearpop has raised 34 million. The initial 16 million was raised across two rounds in 2021. Pearpop’s co-founder, music industry vet Guy Oseary, co-led a 6 million injection through Sound Ventures, the firm he operates alongside actor Ashton Kutcher. The additional 10 million was raised in a round led by Seven Seven Six, the fund helmed by Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
Both Sound Ventures and Seven Seven Six contributed to Pearpop’s latest jolt of capital, which brought the company’s valuation up to 300 million. Pearpop has found success with a pay-to-collaborate model that connects influencers to their biggest fans on social media.

Just last week, Sony announced that they would be giving the “Searching sequel” Missing a theatrical release on January 20, 2023 – and now they have unveiled the trailer for the film! You can check it out in the embed above.
Made on a budget of less than 1 million, the mystery thriller Searching (read our review Here), which played out entirely on computer and smartphone screens, earned over 75 million at the global box office when it was released back in 2018. So the creative team behind that film have gotten back together to bring us the mystery thriller Missing, which will be presented in the same way as Searching was.
Details on the plot of Missing have been kept under wraps up to this point, but now we have a synopsis:
When her mother disappears while on vacation in Colombia with her new boyfriend, June’s search for answers is hindered by international red tape.

Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian appears to have responded to Drake, after he was subtly criticised in the rapper’s new song.
Today (4 November), Drake released his collaborative album with 21 Savage, titled Her Loss, featuring the track “Middle of the Ocean”.
On it, Drake raps: “Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie / He claim we don’t got a problem but / No, boo, it is like you comin’ for sushi.”
Now, it seems Ohanian has countered the Grammy-winning artist’s critical assessment, writing in a Twitter thread: “The reason I stay winning is because I’m relentless about being the absolute best at whatever I do – including being the best groupie for my wife and daughter.”
The Reddit co-founder added: “It's cliche, but life changed when I became a husband + papa. It's made me 100x better as a man and a businessman.

His words appear to be a response to Drake's new song "Middle of the Ocean," which contains the lyrics: "Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie / He claim we don't got a problem but / No, boo, it is like you comin' for sushi." The song appears on Drake and 21 Savage's album "Her Loss," which dropped earlier in the day.

Serena Williams’ tech mogul husband Alexis Ohanian has slyly responded to Drake after the Toronto rapper called him “a groupie” on his new album with 21 Savage, Her Loss.
On the track “Middle of the Ocean”, Drake takes a shot at Ohanian, rapping: “Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie,” the Toronto rapper spits. “He claim we don’t got a problem but, no, boo, it is like you comin’ for sushi/ We might pop up on ’em at will like Suzuki.”
“For your birthday, your man got a table at Hibachi/ Last time I ate there, Wayne was doin’ numbers off the cup like Yahtzee/ And Paris Hilton was steady duckin’ the paparazzi,” he continues on the track.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, Ohanian wrote: “I’ve been turning down media profiles for the last two years,” adding that he’s been focusing on various other projects. “It’s cliche, but...

Olympia Ohanian is ready for her close-up. Serena Williams, who often shares glimpses of her 5-year-old daughter's lovable antics on TikTok, posted a video on Oct. 5 of Ohanian confusing a tampon for a cat toy. In the video, Ohanian unwrapped the tampon and removed the cotton from the applicator, prompting Williams to ask, "What's that?" As the 5-year-old ripped the cotton apart, she explained it was a "cat toy for Karma," the family's cat.
Williams then made a face as Ohanian opened up another tampon. "Let's not play with too many of those," she said, to which a very focused Ohanian sweetly responded, "I'm just using one more, I'm just using this one and I'm done." Williams captioned the TikTok, "Who am I to steal her joy, it'a cat toy!"

Serena Williams's children's book is almost here. In a Sept. 14 interview on "Good Morning America," the tennis icon spoke about "The Adventures of Qai Qai," her children's book based on her daughter Olympia's doll of the same name.
Williams said that the book, which she conceptualized "during Covid," is "really just about using her imagination because kids have such an amazing imagination."
"We just wanted to really just put in people's minds that we can't forget how important it is to just use your imagination and play and also believe in yourself," she said. "So there's some really cool hidden messages in there about self-confidence and that you can do it and also just going back to the art of just being a kid."
The art, which was created by artist Yesenia Moises, was also intentional. "When I saw the illustration, I said, 'Listen, I really want it to represent a Black girl,...

Little Olympia Ohanian is officially 5! On Friday, Sept. 2, her proud dad, Alexis Ohanian, shared a special tribute to his and Serena Williams's daughter on Instagram alongside two recent photos of them sharing daddy–daughter time (and a video of her planting smooches on his cheek). Olympia and her dad have been busy cheering on Williams at the US Open all week, but the Reddit founder made sure to take time out to celebrate his daughter's special day, too.
In his sweet tribute, Ohanian noted that he and Olympia attended "a very memorable 'caking' session" at Milk Bar in New York City, while also sharing all the ways his daughter has changed his and Williams's lives for the better since she was born. "How are you already 5️⃣ @olympiaohanian ??" he wrote on Instagram. "I love you more every single day, you've made me a better man, and I'm so grateful your...

Serena Williams dropped her third-round U.S. Open match to Ajla Tomljanović, likely bringing an end to her storied career.
Tomljanović needed a little over three hours Friday night at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, New York to defeat Williams 7-5, 6-7(4), 6-1 to advance to the round of 16. Williams, widely considered the greatest player to ever play the sport, roared back in the second set following a huge momentum swing. But Williams struggled early in the third set, and it seemed all but inevitable that her sensational comeback would fall short.
Following the defeat, Williams was asked what everyone in the world wants to know: is this the end?
“I mean, I’m literally playing my way into this and getting better,” she said. “I don’t think so but you never know. I don’t know.”
Tomljanović paid her respects to Williams following her impressive win.
What a ride it’s been.

Serena Williams and her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, are squeezing in some quality time together before the tennis champ participates in this year's US Open. On Aug. 23, Williams shared a sweet snap on Instagram of her and her 4-year-old on a dinner date in New York City, the same day her episode of Meghan Markle's "Archetypes" podcast was released. "NY Date nights @olympiaohanian," she captioned the post.
The mommy-daughter duo's latest outing comes after they, along with Williams's husband, Alexis Ohanian, vacationed in Greece, following up their family tour of the United Kingdom. It's likely that Olympia and Ohanian will be on hand to cheer on Williams during the US Open, just as they did at the 2020 tournament.

Olympia Ohanian may have just eaten a life-changing waffle. On Friday, Alexis Ohanian took his and Serena Williams's daughter to Waffle House for the first time. While that may not seem like a momentous occasion, the restaurant chain holds a special place in Ohanian's heart.
As the 39-year-old explained in a series of videos on Instagram, if not for Waffle House, he may have become a lawyer instead of founding Reddit. "'Papa stop taking photos and let me eat this waffle' - I took @olympiaohanian to her first @wafflehouseofficial...

In the wake of announcing that she'll be stepping away from tennis to focus on her family, Serena Williams's husband, Alexis Ohanian, wants to make sure his wife knows just how influential she is. On Aug. 12, the Reddit founder penned an emotional tribute to Williams highlighting all the ways her career has touched people around the world. According to him, his wife's accomplishments far outweigh his creation of Reddit.
Ohanian shared two photos on Instagram: one featuring him and the couple's 4-year-old daughter, Olympia, and another of a fan holding up a sign that read "Queen." He captioned the images, "I've seen over the last 7 years how much y'all love my wife-what she means to so many, worldwide. It's unlike anything I've ever seen. Plenty of folks have told me 'how Reddit changed their life,' but the scale & impact of 'how Serena changed my life' stories absolutely dwarfs it.
