The Series: "The Great British Baking Show: The Professionals"
Where You Can Stream It: Netflix
The Pitch: If you've watched "The Great British Baking Show" aka "The Great British Bake Off" in the U.K., you know all about the calm and joy of that series. The reality competition got many of us through the pandemic with its supportive amateur bakers who hug each other and help anyone having a hard time. It's a ... cuddly show. That may seem like a strange word to describe a series, but it just fits.
If that warm and cozy series got you excited about baking competitions and you've run through every season Netflix has of that, the holiday versions, and "Junior Bake Off," you...

Exclusive: UK network ITV has ordered a second series of competition format Cooking With the Stars, Deadline hears.
The six-part show from ITV Studios-backed South Shore, which is co-financed by Marks & Spencer in an ad-funded arrangement, is hosted by Emma Willis and Tom Allen and sees celebrities compete against each other in weekly challenges, with one eliminated per episode.
The first season, which aired over the summer, was won by McFly singer Harry Judd, who beat Denise van Outen in the final. Others to feature included Johnny Vegas, Aj Odudu and Griff Rhys Jones.
Celebrities are unconfirmed for season two.
The re-commission represents something of a gamble for ITV as the show pulled in below-par ratings, launching with 2M overnight and dipping below 1M for some of the later installments.
Cooking With the Stars has, however, bested ITVs previous cooking format, 2015’s BBQ Champ, which only ran for one series.

The Royal Television Society Program Awards 2022 started with a slap on Wednesday evening, when nominee Aj Odudu ran up to the stage and pretended to strike host Tom Allen.
“Oh my God, Aj, oh my God – I’m the one who’s lost their hair, don’t hit me,” Allen, who is bald, quipped in the evidently pre-rehearsed skit. “I never put my wife anywhere near your mouth.”
Continuing the reference to the altercation between Will Smith and Chris Rock, which took place at the Oscars on Sunday night, Allen continued: “I’ve got to look my best for tomorrow, I’ve got an audition for ‘G.I. Jane 2.'”
Watching from the audience at the Jw Marriott Grosvenor House in Mayfair, where the awards were taking place, were a bevy of well-known faces including “The Batman” star Andy Serkis, “Supergirl’s” David Harewood and “Succession” actor Matthew Macfadyen. Macfayden was accompanying his wife Keeley Hawes,...

Hey, "Hawaii Five-0" fans. It is that time again to let you guys know what crazy action and adventure the Five-0 crew will have in the next, new episode 6 of this current season 10. Thanks to the fantastic folks over at CBS, we do have a couple of teaser descriptions for this 6th installment. So, we're just going to go ahead and run those by you guys right now. For starters, episode 6 does indeed have an official title. The producers decided to name it, "A‘ohe pau ka ‘ike I ka h?lau ho’okahi.” The English translation for that is, "All knowledge is not learned in just one school.” So, the producers managed to pull of yet another very long title. It sounds like episode 6 will feature some very intense, dramatic, action-filled, comical and interesting scenes as the Five-0 investigates a driverless drug car! Tani and Quinn have to deal...

True confession #1: I’m going to dress up as Laurie Strode on “Halloween.” Let’s just say Jamie Lee Curtis and I are of an age. Grey hair? Check. Glasses? Check. Jeans, boots and jacket? No problem. And I’ve got a good-size kitchen cleaver, if not a rack of semi-automatics. That’s Strode’s new weapons arsenal, stacked and ready to wreak revenge on Michael Myers after he escapes from a mental hospital after 40 years.
Curtis, the daughter of Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, first made her name with John Carpenter’s “Halloween” in 1978, when she was 19, followed by Rick Rosenthal’s “Halloween 2,” also written and produced by Carpenter and his producing partner Debra Hill. True confession #2: I worked on that film as a young press agent at Maslansky/Koenigsberg, followed by Carpenter’s “The Fog” and “Escape from New York” (also co-written by Hill).
