Franklin was born in Corpus Christi, Texas at the Naval Aerostation Hospital March 16, 1972. Franklin graduated from W.B. Ray High School and enlisted in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer. He served in Operation Desert Storm and was station with 42 Engineer Company in Berlin, German during the fall of the Berlin Wall. After leaving the military Franklin became a Paramedic and worked for various EMS systems and as a flight medic for a children's hospital in South Texas. Franklin also worked internationally as a remote site paramedic and emergency evacuation specialist in Iraq at FOB Summerall / Iraqi National Ammunition Depot and on Sakhalin Island, Russia.
Franklin has worked in the entertainment industry as a Snake Wrangler, Grip, and health & Safety Supervisor. He is also a member of IATSE Local 479 as a grip.
He is married to Kim Mross and has 2 sons (Mason Parker Mross & Cade Webster)
