WrestleMania is historically the culmination of the WWE season. Storylines, feuds, and championship reigns come to an end, as new title-holders take their new belts to TV, preparing for their next challenger. Old faces take a leave of absence, and new faces take their place. Sometimes that new face is a brand-new wrestler, one the WWE audience may have never seen. Sometimes they’re a returning wrestler, debuting a new character, name, and/or attitude. Sometimes they’re a surprise, and sometimes the WWE Universe is chanting their name before they ever hit the ring.
Most of the debuts happen on the WWE’s flagship show Raw; during the brand-split, Smackdown was home to at least one humongous debut.
