Exclusive: Amy York Rubin is set to direct CBS’ comedy pilot based on TikTok star Sarah Cooper’s book How to Be Successful Without Hurting Men’s Feelings, from writer Cindy Chupack and producers Nina Tassler and Denise Di Novi and CBS Studios.
Co-written by Cooper and Chupack, the Untitled Sarah Cooper/Cindy Chupack Project revolves around three women at different stages in their careers at a male-dominated company who help each other navigate modern gender politics in their professional and personal lives.
Sex and the City alumna Chupack, who serves as showrunner, executive produces with Cooper, as well as Tassler and Di Novi via their PatMa Productions.

The planned “Love, Simon” TV series is on the move.
The show was originally set to air on Disney Plus but will now launch on Hulu instead. In addition, it will now be titled “Love, Victor.” It focuses on Victor (Michael Cimino), a new student at Creekwood High School — the same high school as the movie — on his own journey of self-discovery, facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city, and struggling with his sexual orientation.
The 10-episode first season will debut on Hulu in June, which is Pride Month. According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, Hulu has opened a writers’ room to begin fleshing out a potential second season. Exclusive: Sophia Bush (Chicago Pd) has joined the cast of Love, Simon, the Disney+ series inspired by the praised 2018 movie based on Becky Albertali’s bestselling novel. She will play a recurring role in the show, from This Is Us executive producers/co-showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who wrote the movie, and 20th Century Fox TV, part of Disney TV Studios.
