Beginning in the early eighties, Sven O. Ebeling acquired a background in real estate development, mortgage, insurance, and finance. As successful developer, Sven has a track record of completed projects and satisfied clients.
By the early nineties he began working as an international media consultant. At this time he was part of one of the first efforts to consolidate content from the U.S. as well as Western European markets for airing in Eastern Europe. With regard to film/entertainment Sven is familiar with global licensing, TV-formats, feature film development, international independent film financing and co-production structures, sales & distribution as well as production.
He has worked with a number of international production companies such as MTM, a German/Hungarian operation that produced over 1700 game shows per year, under license from King World and Freemantle Productions. From the late nineties through the year 2000 Sven was responsible for the reorganizing and restructuring of one of the largest independent distribution companies in Germany. His responsibilities included creating the business plan, thereby preparing the company for third-party investment. He also created the "Road Show" presentation, as well as head-up negotiations with major German banks.
The creation of "MC One" aka "Media Cooperation One", a German Company, capitalized by Deutsche Bank Industrial Holdings was a major achievement for this type of a media and entertainment start up company. As co-founder of MC One and holding the position of Managing Director in charge of content, Sven was responsible for the acquisition and distribution of more than 300 titles, as well as the distribution of the company's own library of properties. Because of their organization, MC One were also able to provide outside distribution services for third parties.
Besides overseeing MC One's multiple award-winning DVD packaging-design and production, he was also responsible for the successful development and production of the company's feature films, including the Academy Award winning movie "Nowhere in Africa" , "Wrong Turn", "The Real Deal" as well as the animated feature film "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King".
In 2005, Sven O. Ebeling co-founded West Coast Pictures LLC in Los Angeles. This company is U.S. based and is in the business of global media and entertainment consulting as well as developing and producing TV formats and feature length films.
From 2007-2010, Sven served on behalf of West Coast Pictures as head of production and a member of the Board of Directors of Kings Road Entertainment, Inc., a Los Angeles based film production company formed by Stephen J. Friedman in 1980. Sven's activities included working on the remake of the movies "All of Me" and "The Big Easy".
From 2011 until the end of 2016, Sven has consulted for the Beijing and Hong Kong-based "Lion King Entertainment Group", a close collaborator of Hengdian World Studios, Zhejiang TV and China Film Group, on matters relating to international business plans, global media and entertainment corporate structures, TV and feature film development, film financing and production as well as global media and entertainment projects which included the concept & business plans for the several Chinese-US media & entertainment joint ventures.
During this time, both of Sven's parents passed and after a sabbatical period Sven returned in 2017 to the industry he loves, revitalizing his passion and career as a film producer, developing his own feature film slate and developing, producing and co-producing those third party movies to which he is attached. And to assemble the team, know-how and necessary elements for his ultimate vision - to build the production studio for the future.
