If HBO’s Westworld has been guilty of spinning its wheels in recent weeks, last Sunday’s episode, “Trompe L’Oeil,” had viewers rooted to the edge of their seats after delivering what is perhaps the show’s most shocking revelation yet.
Such was the magnitude of said twist that fans are not only speculating on how it impacts the future of Westworld going forward, they’re also beginning to question everything they’ve laid eyes on so far. But the show must go on, quite literally, and Sunday will herald the premiere of episode 8, “Trace Decay.” It goes without saying, but unless you’re fully up to speed with Westworld, avoid the promo below like the plague.
Having debuted in the aftermath of “Trompe L’Oeil,” HBO has now pumped out a series of still images for episode 8, showcasing Bernard, the cunning Robert Ford and Delos Executive Director Charlotte Hale,...

Still can’t get over what happened at the end of episode 7 of “Westworld?” Neither can we! *Warning spoilers ahead*
Possibly the biggest reveal of last week’s show was that Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) was actually a host. Though in shocking events, nobody expected him to murder Theresa (Sidse Babett Knudsen) under Dr. Ford’s orders (Anthony Hopkins).
Things are getting pretty intense inside the park, as well as in the company, as Maeve (Thandie Newton) is in a new self-aware state and Tessa Thompson’s character, Charlotte, tries to take control of Westworld. HBO released eight new images of the upcoming episode, which you can check out below.

The Walking Dead season 6 takes a solid, but frustrating, breather from the main tale to explain how Morgan got his groove back...
This review contains spoilers.
6.4 Here's Not Here
We've seen Morgan at every stage of his post-apocalyptic life. We've seen the father struggling to keep life normal for his son in walker-haunted King County. We've seen the schizophrenic, trapped in a lair of his own making, muttering about clearing in between homicidal outbursts. We've seen the walking ronin, trailing after Rick and company. Now we've seen Morgan the born-again pacifist, letting Wolves go free and avoiding killing thanks to his strong moral code. However, we haven't seen what takes Morgan back from the brink and restores his humanity to him. This is the episode that fills in those gaps.
We know where we're starting, and we know where we're ending up. There's a certain path that has to be followed,...

The Walking Dead, Season 6, Episode 4, “Here’s Not Here”
Written by Scott M. Gimple
Directed by Stephen Williams
Airs Sundays at 9pm (Et) on AMC
I understand what the producers wanted with this episode, in that they stop the entire momentum of the first few installments in order to soothe viewers into a calmer, more complex storyline, but “Here’s Not Here” is definitely this season’s “Slabtown.” I’m sure I speak for many when I say that I wanted to see how Morgan came back from clearing, how he learned to fight with a stick, and become such a Zen warrior, but not now. Not right this minute. In the end, I couldn’t help but feel like the producers were just treading water and painfully drawing out the bigger questions.
What is happening outside of Alexandria? What’s going on inside Alexandria? Give us something. You can’t play these games,...

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s small-screen adaptation of Garth Ennis’ Preacher is set to air sometime next year, though no exact date has been announced. Thus far, we’ve had some set snaps and a promo poster (see above) to feast our eyes on, but not so much as an official character image – and yet the first trailer will be with us next week.
AMC has announced that we’ll see the very first footage from the show on November 1st during a special 90-minute long episode of The Walking Dead, which is expected to include a Morgan flashback. The network’s press release also includes a Preacher synopsis, and from the sounds of it, the basic premise of this take, at least, will be faithful to Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s source material.
AMC is bringing fans “The Walking Dead Mega Sunday” event on November 1st at 9:00 p.

The Americans, Season 3, Episode 9: “Do Mail Robots Dream of Electric Sheep?”
Written by Joshua Brand
Directed by Stephen Williams
Airs Wednesdays at 10pm (Et) on FX
While last week’s episode, “Divestment,” showcased the emotional violence caused by the characters of The Americans, this week’s Phillip K. Dick-referencing “Do Mail Robots Dream of Electric Sheep?” focuses on actual physical violence and its effects. It’s an idea that’s been explored thoroughly on the show (through the infamous suitcase scene, the tooth extraction, and many other aspects), but the most recent hour is particularly notable for the way in which it contrasts how various characters react to the murders (or forced suicides, which are more or less the same thing) for which they’re responsible. No major players in the series’ universe are lost, but the two killings are, in their own way, two of the more...

A review of tonight's "The Americans" coming up just as soon as I take my aspirin with beer... "Do you think doing this to me will make the world a better place?" -Betty "I'm sorry, but it will." -Elizabeth "That's what evil people tell themselves when they do evil things." -Betty Each week this season, "The Americans" finds some wonderful, horrible new way to punch its audience in the gut and leave us asking for more. There was Annelise getting folded into the suitcase. There was Philip listening to Yaz with Kimmie, and Elizabeth telling Paige about Gregory at the same time Philip was inviting Kimmie to pray with him. And just last week, there was Reuben necklacing his Afrikaner oppressor. This is a show that routinely presents its characters committing acts that are horrifying on physical, emotional and/or political levels, and it shows them doing it because they believe dearly in a cause,...

Seeing as “Do Mail Robots Dream of Electric Sheep?” spends a good deal of the hour looking under the hood of everyone’s favourite four-wheel courier, I’m going to do a little curtain-drawing myself. As we’ve gotten deeper into this season of The Americans, review screeners of new episodes have been made available closer and closer to actual live airings. Obviously, having time to ruminate on each new episode before talking about it is ideal, but it’s not like The Americans ever leaves you without something to say immediately after watching each hour.
Point being, I’m very glad that, unlike the last few episodes, I had a couple days to think over “Do Mail Robots Dream of Electric Sheep?,” because after a first watch, I had some pretty strong reservations about the episode. Punctuated by three long, densely written scenes between Elizabeth and a woman destined to become collateral damage,...

Irene McGee was part of one of the most memorable moments in "Real World" history -- and now, she's speaking out about the show that gave her late '90s infamy. We all remember Irene as the girl who got slapped during "The Real World: Seattle" by cast mate Stephen Williams back in 1998. In a brand new blog post for Vulture, Irene is revealing a few secrets about the show and reveals why she really quit her season."[We had] Mandatory interviews with directors once a week," she explains. "No talking to each other about what we were asked in them, or what we said; no talking about the process; no talking to the crew; no breaking the "fourth wall" and acknowledging in any way that we were aware we were on a TV show."In short, it was strict -- and, according to McGee, it was also "toxic," "unbearable" and full...

London, Feb 22: Late singer Amy Winehouse's father Mitch paid a tribute to his daughter by wearing a waistcoat, the back of which had her face printed on it.
Mitch wore the jacket at the Brit Awards Feb 20, where Amy became the first artist in the history of the event, to be nominated posthumously for Female Solo Artist, reports dailymail.co.uk.
"Naturally Mitch is very proud of Amy and her accomplishments, so together we designed a suit with details that show this," said Stephen Williams, the celebrity tailor, who designed the waistcoat.
"The uniqueness and extra detail we have put into the garment will hopefully stand.
