- Oskar Sala was born on July 18, 1910 in Greiz, Thuringia, Germany. He was a composer, known for The Birds (1963), The Death Ray of Dr. Mabuse (1964) and Die rote Hand (1960). He died on February 26, 2002 in Berlin, Germany.
- Known for developing and mastering the trautonium, billed as the world's first electronic musical instrument on its invention in 1929.
