Judith Rossner was born on March 31, 1935 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA. She was an actress and writer, known for Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977). She was married to Stanley Leff, Mordecai Persky and Robert Rossner. She died on August 9, 2005 in New York City, New York, USA.
She was working as a secretary when she wrote "Looking For Mr.
Goodbar", which was published in 1975 and based on the story of a young
Catholic elementary school teacher who picked up men in singles bars
and was ultimately murdered by one of them. It became a bestseller and
was ultimately made into a critically acclaimed movie.
