Directors Jen & Sylvia Soska (Rabid, American Mary) bring you back into the universe of George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead with Tubi Original Festival of the Living Dead, and Bloody Disgusting has been exclusively provided with the official trailer today.
Festival of the Living Dead will bite into Tubi on April 5. The new zombie film is set decades after Night of the Living Dead, centered on the grandchildren of that film’s main character.
The Soska Sisters tweet, “The film is a sequel to Romero’s masterpiece original Night of the Living Dead – the story follows Ben’s grandchildren 55 years after the incident.”
Ben was of course played by late actor Duane Jones in Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, who bravely battled the shambling undead before being killed by the film’s human villains.

For the first time since they shared the screen on NBC hospital drama “ER,” Eriq La Salle and Gloria Reuben are teaming up as co-stars. The two star in Hallmark’s “A Second Chance at Love,” alongside Alvina August and Jarod Joseph, Hallmark announced Wednesday.
The actors will play divorced parents Jack (La Salle) and Brenda (Reuben) to daughter Alicia (August), and in-laws to Alicia’s husband, Arnold (Joseph). According to a logline from Hallmark, the younger couple’s marriage is “picture perfect, however, there is something amiss.” While Arnold is ready to expand their brood, Alicia has been hesitant. “Rather than face the problem head on, Alicia, the self-proclaimed ‘love doctor,’ immerses herself in her divorced parents Jack (La Salle) and Brenda’s (Reuben) dating affairs by setting them each up on a blind date dating app,” per the network.

Sometimes, you're right where you need to be with your television viewing.
For me, that means that I've been watching Gloria Reuben and Eriq La Salle nightly with my rewatch of NBC's ER.
Now, Hallmark is offering something completely different as Reuben and La Salle reconnect for A Second Chance at Love, airing on Saturday, March 26 on Hallmark Channel.
For those of you who watched ER, you know that La Salle played resident and surgeon Peter Benton, who wasn't always beloved by his coworkers.
Reuben's Jeanie Boulet, a married Pa, fell for Peter, and the two had a torrid affair in which she broke his heart.
A Second Chance at Love might not give Peter and Jeanie a second chance, but now, decades later, Rueben and La Salle will be sharing the screen once again with a story about reigniting old passions.

In A Second Chance At Love, on the surface, Alicia (August) and Arnold’s (Joseph) marriage is picture perfect, however, there is something amiss. Arnold is ready to grow their family, but subconsciously Alicia is hesitant to the idea. Robert Townsend has come on board to direct a remake of the comedy "Brewster's Millions".
George Barr McCutcheon penned the original novel which has been adapted many times, though the most well-known would be Walter Hill's 1985 version starring Richard Pryor and John Candy.
That film follows a baseball fan who is called to New York city to hear the last will and testament of his recently deceased great-uncle. Said uncle makes an offer - if he can spend $30 million in 30 days, he's entitled to $300 million. If not, he loses it all. There's also strict conditions on how he can spend the cash, including having no more assets than what he started with.
Michael William Schmidt has penned the new adaptation which Joseph and Jack Nasser will produce. The new film changes the stakes - he must spend $100 million in one week to inherit $1 billion.

Now Robert Townsend has signed on to direct a remake scripted by Michael William Schmidt and produced by Joseph and Jack Nasser. The story, based George Barr McCutcheon’s 1902 novel, centers on Monty Brewster, who is set to inherit $1 billion, with one key caveat: He must spend $100 million in one week or end up right back where he started – with nothing more…...

It happens, man. One day you're young and carefree so you go on a murder spree with a good friend. Still, that can get old too after a while so to prevent boredom, you go and start a new life. In theory that works, but your past can have a way of catching up with you.
That's basically the premise of the new film from the director of The Stepfather, Joseph Ruben, entitled The Stranger. Alanna Belak penned the screenplay for producer Jack Nasser. This one is still early in development, but we'll keep an eye on things for you.
In The Stranger "a serial killer reinvents himself as a small town professor, but his idyllic new life is shattered when his former partner shows up and wants them to start killing together again.“

We all remember this guy from The Hunger Games, right? Well, guess what, Alexander Ludwig has a completely new job! He will star next to previously announced Abigail Breslin in the upcoming indie project titled Final Girl, which comes from photographer-turned-director Tyler Shields, who’s making his directorial debut with this one.
Not much is known about Final Girl, except that Adam Prince is behind the script and that the story comes from Steve Scarlata, Alejandro Seri and Johnny Silver.
The movie will center on a girl (logically) who, after being dropped into the woods and hunted by a group of teenage boys, turns the tables by hunting them.
Guess that Breslin is on board to play that girl, and as for Ludwig’s character – still no details.
Rob Carliner, Jeff Kwatinetz and Joseph and Jack Nasser will produce the pic through Nasser’s Ngn Productions and Kwatinetz and Carliner’s Prospect Park.

Though Johnny Cash is usually more likely to be found on a film's soundtrack than up onscreen, he did notch up a few credits before deciding that music was the world that better suited him. Jan De Bont had a moment in the sun in the mid '90s when he directed Speed and Twister, and it should never be forgotten that he was a kick-ass cinematographer. You might have seen his work in a minor film called Die Hard. But De Bont last directed Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, released in 2001. Though a few different projects have seemed like possible new films for the director in the years since, nothing has taken that final step of delivering a cake with a concealed metal file so that De Bont could break himself out of director jail.
