- Eiko Matsuda was born on May 18, 1952 in Yokohama, Japan. She was an actress, known for In the Realm of the Senses (1976), Stray Cat Rock: Machine Animal (1970) and Tatto of the Jack (1970). She died on March 9, 2011 in Tokyo, Japan.
- Her role in the controversial art film In the Realm of the Senses (1976) as historical murderess Sada Abe had a negative effect on her career. She began to receive hostile treatment from the Japanese public, couldn't land very many acting roles and was even flat out refused for auditions. She eventually escaped to live in France and abandoned her acting career.
- Her date of birth is the anniversary of the Sada Abe incident, an event she would later reenact in 'In the realm of the senses.'.
