- Collaborated with his wife on several comedic plays that appeared on Broadway, including "Song of Bernadette", "Jenny Kissed Me" and "Tough and Go".
- Upon his death, his remains were interred at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, Westchester County, New York.
- The character David Niven plays in "Please Don't Eat The Daisies" (1960), a college professor who becomes a much-feared drama critic, is transparently based on Kerr, although the name is changed. The film is based on a book by Kerr's wife, Jean Kerr.
