- László Kardos was born on October 8, 1905 in Budapest, Austria-Hungary [now Hungary]. He was a director and writer, known for The Man Who Turned to Stone (1957), Dark Streets of Cairo (1940) and Small Town Girl (1953). He was married to Lenka Pasternak. He died on April 11, 1962 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
