Actors Henry Hall and Daniel Thrasher looked back at their favorite moments from working on the show Dinner with the Parents.
Dinner with the Parents is a new sitcom that follows the two twenty-something Langer brothers (Hall and Thrasher) who attend weekly dinners at their parents’ house; each gathering is sure to be chaotic and disastrous by nature.
Hall, the son of Brad Hall and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, overviewed his role in the show for uInterview founder Erik Meers, “I play David Langer, the eldest of the Langer siblings, and every Friday night I come home for… Shabbat dinner with my ‘lovely’ family, and I walk in the front door hoping that everything is going to be normal; I’ll be asked how I’m doing, I’ll ask how they’re doing, and we’ll sit down and have an orderly and nice dinner. Still, most of the time, what...

Here we are with another case of “Wait, that was a book first?” Although, having watched the movie for the first time and seeing its reputation online, this is also a case of “Wait, that was a movie?” William Friedkin was a master filmmaker and although most of his stone-cold classics happened before 1990, he proved he still had plenty in the tank with things like The Hunted and Bug to name a couple. He was a replacement director which seems surreal considering his talents and he was one of 3 credited writers on a little remembered horror movie adaptation from 1990. The Guardian (watch it Here) is based on The Nanny from 1987 and it’s a strange pairing of source material and finished product. Both pieces of media are mostly slept on in their respective fields but how close did Friedkin and the other writers come to matching the book? Always do...

Written and directed by Chelsea Peretti, First Time Female Director lives in the self-deprecating world of meta storytelling. Debuting at the Tribeca Festival in the Spotlight Narrative section, Peretti put so much of herself into this narrative, it could work as a documentary. It’s also such a comically honest portrayal of what women must endure if they want to get ahead in any career, let alone the theater business. Having to constantly prove to yourself and others that you are capable is so exhausting, but can also be rewarding if you are set up for success. Many are often left to fend for themselves, and the film shows one way of how that can happen.
In addition to Peretti, First Time Female Director boast a hefty cast including Amy Poehler, Andy Richter, Benito Skinner, Blake Anderson, Megan Stalter, Megan Mullally, Jak Knight, and Xosha Roquemore, Kate Berlant and many more.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has shared a hilariously unexpected response to her son’s on-screen “racy” sex scene.
The Seinfeld star’s youngest son, Charlie Hall – whom she shares with her writer and producer husband Brad Hall – joined the latest season of Mindy Kaling’s drama-comedy The Sex Lives of College Girls.
During a new appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Louis-Dreyfus was speaking about her two sons when the host noted that 25-year-old Hall is on the HBO Max series.
“That’s a racy show!” Kimmel exclaimed, with the 62-year-old Veep actor agreeing that “it’s a very racy show, yes!”
“Do you watch the show in fear that you might see something you haven’t seen for a while?” Kimmel asked.

Charlie Hall is becoming a familiar face thanks to his role in "The Sex Lives of College Girls" season two. The 25-year-old actor plays Andrew, Whitney's (Alyah Chanelle Scott) lab partner and love interest, who has viewers all riled up.
Prior to the HBO Max dramedy, Hall snagged his fair share of TV roles in shows like "Bel Air," "Love Victor," and "Single Drunk Female." He tells Popsugar he decided to pursue his acting career toward the end of his senior year of college at Northwestern University, where he also played basketball. "It was something I was always interested in because of the comedy aspect of it," Hall says. "I had inklings of wanting to be in entertainment, but my life was pretty basketball focused and I just was unsure of what I wanted to do and had never entirely considered acting as something I could sort of do full-time.

Charlie Hall knows he's not a fan favorite among "The Sex Lives of College Girls" fans - and he's totally fine with that. "I kind of love that he's unlikeable," the 25-year-old tells Popsugar of his character Andrew, aka Whitney's (Alyah Chanelle Scott) biochem lab partner and love interest in season two.
Hall joined the HBO Max hit series, which wrapped up its second season on Dec. 15, just a few years after graduating from Northwestern University and pursuing an acting career. Like his costar Mitchell Slaggert, the actor - whose parents are "Seinfeld" star Julia Louis-Dreyfus and "Saturday Night Live" alum Brad Hall - auditioned for a different role than the one he landed, but he admits he loved the challenge of playing his detested character.
"It's a fun little challenge to play someone that you're not rooting for in a way that is entertaining and also in a way that's funny.

Under the terms of the agreement, she’ll be producing, of course, but she’s mostly on the hunt for great material for herself, she says — both in comedy and drama, the latter of which...

Julia Louis-Dreyfus attended the Oscars for the first time on Sunday, where she and her “Downhill” co-star Will Ferrell, did one of the funniest bits of the night presenting the awards for cinematography, which they definitely know all about, and film editing, which they’re not quite fans of. After that, the “Veep” star enjoyed the rest of the show and had an even better time when it was over.
As she and her husband, Brad Hall, were leaving to go to the Governors Ball, their escort led them up on the stage, where the “Parasite” team was still celebrating its historic Best Picture victory. “They’re all hugging each other, and everyone’s emptying out of the theater. And I was like, ‘Oh my God! They’re all here!'” Louis-Dreyfus said on Thursday’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (watch above).

I am happy to say I have been informed I beat all “experts” in the Gold Derby contest to predict winners of this year’s Emmy Awards. So while on a high from that triumph, let me make some Emmy predictions about next year even though we are a full 12 months away from the big night in 2020.
Even though Emmys have a history of repeating their winners year after year, the slate will be wiped clean in the top three categories of Best Drama Series, Best Comedy Series and Best Limited Series. Since the night’s big winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge firmly closed the door on any future seasons of her four-time Emmy-winning comedy series Fleabag after just two six-episode seasons, I predict that something else will win this prize next year. And since the Television Academy has decided to send off the final season of HBO’s juggernaut Game of Thrones...

Exclusive: New Republic Pictures has become a co-financier of the Sam Mendes-directed WWI film 1917. The producer-financier, run by CEO Brian Oliver, has been behind such films as the Elton John biopic Rocketman. Oliver’s earlier films at Cross Creek include Hacksaw Ridge and Black Swan.
Oliver, returning from London after the wrap of the film, will serve as a producer alongside Mendes, who directed a script he wrote with Krysty Wilson-Cairns (Penny Dreadful), his Neal Street partner Pippa Harris, Jayne-Ann Tenggren (Spectre) and Callum McDougall (Skyfall). The co-producer is Michael Lerman.

Before cameras start rolling, Julia Louis-Dreyfus is in tears. It’s around 8:30 a.m. on December 18, 2018 — the final day of shooting for HBO’s Emmy-winning political satire, “Veep” — and the team led by showrunner David Mandel has already run through rehearsals and made some last-minute tweaks to the script. The early morning run-through was what sent Louis-Dreyfus, the series’ star and executive producer, back to hair and makeup for touch-ups, but now it’s time: the beginning of the end.
“A lot of emotions today,” producer and writer Frank Rich says, standing in the writers’ offices at Paramount Studios. Morgan Sackett, a fellow producer, writer, and episode director, walks up and the pair briefly reminiscence over what brought them here, to this day and this ending: Finding a fitting end to “Veep” was hard enough, but after breaking the final season during summer 2017, the writers were informed of Louis-Dreyfus’ cancer diagnosis.

Not only has the actress’ alma mater, Northwestern, clinched its spot in the Ncaa March Madness Tournament for the first time in school history, but her 19-year-old son Charlie Hall is on the team.
When the Ncaa bracket was announced Sunday, with the Wildcats as an 8-seed in the West Regional division, Louis-Dreyfus celebrated with the infamous Elaine dance, described by George Costanza as a “full-body dry heave set to music,” on Twitter.
“We’re going to the dance, boys!” she captioned the hilarious gif.

As the Wildcats closed in on their win, ESPN2 opted for a split screen of the court and the 56-year-old watching from the stands.
