Ray Cannon (Edwin Hodge) has followed in his retired FBI agent father’s footsteps, so it’s only fitting that’s the title of the episode introducing the character, played by Steven Williams. In FBI: Most Wanted‘s “Footsteps,” airing on February 20, the Fugitive Task Force launches into full gear after multiple bombings appear to be targeting retired NYPD officers. Ray Cannon, Sr. also has ties to that case, though originally, they think that his son is involved. It “comes back to haunt him,” Hodge tells TV Insider. As a result, Ray gets “mixed up in this situation, not knowing what, who, why or how, but also knowing he needs to protect his father at all costs, whatever secrets his father has,” the star continues. “Ray’s on the clock at this point and he doesn’t give a crap about anything else other than saving his father.” Hodge also raves about working with Williams.

In Tuesday night’s episode of “FBI: Most Wanted,” Ray Cannon (Edwin Hodge) used his “Southern charm” to get things done when three prosecutors were gunned down in a small town in Arkansas. After Remy Scott (Dylan McDermott) didn’t have time to get answers from a tight-lipped waitress who may have seen the suspects in the triple homicide, Ray stepped in and, between ordering some down home country food, got the information they needed.
Ray, who’s the newest addition to the Fugitive Task Force, takes the job seriously, but his dedication to justice also led him to intervene when he saw a single mom and her son being kicked out of their apartment in the episode.
Hodge talked to TheWrap about how his character is settling in with the team and why he’s driven to go the extra mile.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for FBI: Most Wanted Season 4 Episode 8 “Appeal.”] FBI: Most Wanted delved into the newest member of the Fugitive Task Force, Special Agent Ray Cannon (Edwin Hodge) in its fall finale, “Appeal.” On the way to work with Hana Gibson (Keisha Castle-Hughes), Ray noticed a woman, Cora (Caroline Harris), arguing with her landlord after he’d raised her rent by 2,000, despite her and her son Caleb (Ja’Siah Young) being model tenants for four years. She didn’t have the money, but while she had five days left on her lease, he was already showing her apartment to prospective tenants. It stuck with him, even as the Fugitive Task Force worked a case, though he wasn’t sure about letting Hana do some digging into the landlord. But armed with the knowledge that the landlord would be facing time in prison if he called friends at the IRS, Ray was able to negotiate a new ...

The Fugitive Task Force’s newest member, Special Agent Ray Cannon (Edwin Hodge), is looking to protect on and off the job in the FBI: Most Wanted fall finale on December 13. In the episode “Appeal,” he feels compelled to help a woman (Caroline Harris’s Cora) and her young son combat an injustice. “Ray sees Cora arguing with her landlord while walking to work with Hana [Keisha Castle-Hughes] and heads over to calm the situation down,” Hodge tells TV Insider. “It’s revealed she’s being evicted and immediately Ray sympathizes with her because he also experienced gentrification after Hurricane Katrina hit,” he explains. Fortunately for Cora, the right person sees that disagreement on the street, because if there’s anyone you want to help out, it’s an FBI agent, especially one who has a certain skilled computer expert as not only a teammate but roommate as well. “With a little help from Hana,...

The first day on the job is never routine on FBI: Most Wanted.
After the Season 4 premiere explained that Ortiz had left the team to care for his father, Taxman introduced his replacement, agent Ray Cannon (new cast regular Edwin Hodge).
He had a tough first case as the team tracked someone targeting IRS agents only to learn their perp had a very troubled history.
Cannon had to learn fast that being on the Task Force is a much different cry than his previous work as a cop, but he proved himself in the end.
Meanwhile, tensions between Barnes and Remy continued to rise, threatening the case and the team’s relationships.
While it came through in the end, it was a rough ride that showed the team still had a few hurdles to clear before Season 4 truly gets going.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the FBI: Most Wanted Season 4 premiere “Iron Pipeline.”] Welcome back, Sheryll Barnes (Roxy Sternberg)! The FBI agent, who went on maternity leave before Remy Scott (Dylan McDermott) came in as Jess’ (Julian McMahon) replacement last season, returns and immediately clashes with her new boss during the FBI: Most Wanted Season 4 premiere. “Jess would never do something this reckless!” Barnes argues about an undercover operation. “Jess got shot. And if that’s still in your head, we got a problem. Things have changed since you left, Barnes. And I ain’t Jess,” Remy tells her. Ouch. (Watch that exchange below.) McDermott tells us what’s ahead for those two after that, teases the introduction of new team member Ray Cannon (Edwin Hodge) in the September 27 episode, and more. Things were tense between Remy and Barnes during her first case back. Is it entirely or mostly because, as he points out, he’s not Jess? ...

FBI: Most Wanted has recruited Edwin Hodge to fill the Season 4 void that was left by Miguel Gomez’s exit.
Gomez, who had played Special Agent Ivan Ortiz for two seasons, parted ways with the CBS procedural in early June, the result of what was reported at the time to be a “creative decision.” (In May’s Season 3 finale, Ortiz left the Fugitive Task Force to go back home to L.A. and take care of his sick father.)

‘Dracula’ 1931 actress Carla Laemmle dead at 104 (photo: Carla Laemmle ca. 1930) Carla Laemmle, a bit player in a handful of silent movies and at the dawn of the sound era — e.g., the horror classics The Phantom of the Opera (1925) and Dracula (1931) — and a niece of Universal Studios co-founder Carl Laemmle, died on June 12, 2014, at her Los Angeles home. Laemmle, who had reportedly been in good health, was 104 years old. Born Rebekah Isabelle Laemmle on October 20, 1909, in Chicago, Carla Laemmle was less known for her movie work than for having survived most of her contemporaries and for her family connection to the Universal mogul — her father, Joseph Laemmle, was Carl’s brother. ‘Dracula’ actress was a member of Carl Laemmle’s ‘very large faemmle’ "Uncle Carl Laemmle, Has a very large faemmle," once half-joked poet Ogden Nash, in reference to Laemmle’s penchant for hiring family members. As Laemmle’s niece,...

Tovar was born in 1910 in the city of Oaxaca, the capital of the Mexican state of the same name. In an interview with author Michael G. Ankerich (Mae Murray: The Girl with the Bee-Stung Lips) published on Ankerich’s site Close-ups and Long Shots, Tovar recalled her brief foray as a silent film actress at Fox (several years before it became 20th Century Fox): "Silent films were wonderful because you didn’t have to worry about your dialogue. You could say whatever you felt. We had music on the set all the time. It was absolutely wonderful." Unfortunately for Tovar, whose English was quite poor,...
