The hosts of The View brought one of the more controversial figures in talk media into the fold of their “Hot Topics” discussions on Tuesday, welcoming Real Time host Bill Maher to the table to talk about his coverage of the 2024 presidential election cycle so far on his HBO late-night series. “You’re a comic, but you basically go up against Trump and Biden, both of them, and a lot of people are not happy about that,” Joy Behar said at the start, to which Maher clarified, “Well, not equally.” “Well, not equally,” Behar agreed, “Because you know that Trump is more of a danger.” “Of course!” Maher conceded. “I don’t think anybody was more out front on that danger than I was. I was talking about how he was never going to give up power long ago when everybody was laughing at me and said, ‘You smoke too much pot,...

The View Joy Behar Advises Jennifer Lopez To Shut Up
Joy Behar always speaks her mind on The View and that can either help her or hurt her. She has been on the show since its inception except for a brief time when she had been let go. Joy then returned and was her feisty and opinionated self, never shying away from how she truly felt. That has always been how she operated in her days as a comedian.

The “Since You Been Gone” singer Kelly Clarkson has somehow become a talk show “The View’s” treasure that needs to be protected at all costs by the co-hosts of the show. During a recent interview on her eponymous show “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Kelly admitted to guest Whoopi Goldberg that the secret behind her weight loss was a weight loss drug which she withheld its name.
Although she didn’t share the name of the weight loss drug she used, she assured viewers that it’s not Ozempic. “Everybody thinks it’s Ozempic — it’s not — it’s something else, but it’s something that aids in helping break down the sugar. Obviously, my body doesn’t do it right,” said Kelly. After her revelation, the ” American Idol” season 1 winner came under fire for previously saying that she lost weight through walking.

In a much-needed break from political topics, Whoopi Goldberg introduced a fun topic about “murder houses” on The View.
The constant heavy talk during an election year is tiring for viewers and hosts alike, so an offbeat theme that people can laugh at helps.
Whoopi Goldberg shared a story about a gentleman who bought a house for a steep discount where a murder took place and what happened when his wife found out.
Sara Haines had a suggestion that had the ladies on the show howling with laughter, and the fans couldn’t stay quiet about it either.
Usually, Joy Behar and Whoopi are the funny ladies on The View, constantly quipping jokes, but it seemed that Sara stole the show.
Joy Behar once had to be reminded that “murder is wrong” by a fellow co-host, but the “murder house” topic did not need that same disclaimer.

Meghan McCain has made her stance clear when it comes to The View, revealing that there’s “not a chance in hell” she’d ever return to host. McCain served as the ‘conservative co-host’ on the long-running ABC daytime talk show from 2017 to 2021 alongside Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines. She announced her exit from the show in July 2021, telling viewers she wanted to make Washington, D.C. a permanent home for her family. The View films in New York. In a recent interview with Page Six, McCain was asked if she’d ever consider returning to The View. She said, “There’s not a chance in hell” the producers would ask her back, nor would she wish to return. “I’ve had kids since then,” she added. “I really like my life right now and I feel like it’s taken me a long time to...

Meghan McCain is giving her final thoughts on the talk show she co-hosted for four years, The View. Though she did not have the best experience, that does not necessarily mean she has left with a bad taste in her mouth. So, what did the mother of two have to say? Keep reading for more details.
Meghan McCain Gives Final Thoughts On The View
In 2017, Meghan McCain took her official seat as a co-host on The View. This a talk show where all voices and opinions are welcomed. As a more conservative person, Meghan let her side be known and never held back. However, that could also be detrimental to her position in the group. One thing that Meghan always acknowledged was how lucky she was to have gotten the job. More so, she understood how many people would have killed for that position. Things got a bit steamy on The View recently when Sunny Hostin shared excerpts of her newest book, Summer on Highland Beach, with the ladies.
The ladies had all been laughing and joking just before Sunny asked Joy Behar to read some of the “sexy parts” of her newest book.
This book, coming out May 28, is the third of Sunny’s Sag Harbor series, and Sunny has been busy promoting it since Christmas.
In this hot political season, it is good for the ladies to take a break and talk about other issues, even if they are a bit hot and steamy.
Whoopi Goldberg started the segment asking about sexy books and shared an article from the New York Post that said reading erotica is more effective than watching it.
She asked Joy what she thought; it was the perfect segue for Sunny to ask her to read from her newest book.

Joy Behar doesn’t usually get flustered easily, but she was left hot under the collar on Wednesday’s (May 8) episode of The View when her co-hosts told her to read some sexy excerpts from Sunny Hostin‘s new novel. Promoting her new book Summer on Highland Beach, Hostin asked Behar to read some of the more steamier passages from the novel. Taking the book from Hostin, Behar did her best Dr. Ruth impression and read the first excerpt. “Desire hit her hard and fast. She was burning up, sparked by fire, lit by joy — really? — he’d forgotten how delicious spearmint tasted on her lips,” she read. The long-time comedian and TV personality managed to get through the first passage relatively unscathed. But the heat turned up a notch when Alyssa Farah Griffin urged her to “read the naughtier one.” “Oh, it’s so bad. You really want me to read that?...

Behar, however, had a different perspective, quipping, “I would say tactless better than blunt.” She revealed she learned to be that way from her Aunt Rose, explaining, “As my aunt would say, ‘I tell the truth no matter who I may offend’… But no, I do have my limits on what I will say to people. While some surprises can be nice, The View fans were not okay with the network’s latest decisions. Recently, fans expressed their anger over the latest episode that was aired.

Unexpectedly, The View had a major scheduling mix-up that left fans up in arms. When the fans went to watch their regularly scheduled program, they were in for a rude awakening. Although fans are enraged, the daytime TV network is offering a return date to appease the masses in the meantime.

Will The View return for Season 28 this fall, and if not, what will take its place? Many fans may ask that question after surprising news about The Talk.
When one talk show is canceled, fans wonder if their favorite one will be axed, too, and The View fans may wonder how it is doing and if it will be renewed.
The Talk, which seemed created to compete with The View, will end its run in December with Season 15.
CBS announced that The Talk, with Sheryl Underwood, Jerry O Connell, and Natalie Morales will finish up a shortened season in December 2024 and not return in January 2025, Deadline reports.
The View has not yet been renewed for Season 28, and that news may not come until later that summer, like last year. However, there are clues that the renewal will come soon.

Where Is Sara Haines?
Sara Haines was present on Monday but was missing on Tuesday. It was expected that she would miss the entire week, but she returned on Thursday.
Whoopi Goldberg briefly addressed her absence on the air saying, “We needed to tell you that Sara’s out for a few days attending a funeral for a family friend. That’s why she’s not here.”
On Thursday, Haines shared an update of her own. In the photo, she stood next to two other women. All of them were wearing black...

There was little love for the divorcing Golden Bachelor couple on The View today, as the cohosts on ABC’s daytime talker took aim at ABC’s romance-for-seniors reality show.
“For six months you tortured me every Friday and made me talk about this topic, which I can’t stand because I think it’s manufactured and a complete crock,” said Ana Navarro about the View‘s weekly Golden Bachelor post-mortems. “So today I get to say, I told you so, I told you so, I told you so.”
Earlier today on ABC’s Good Morning America, Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announced that they are getting a divorce just three months after their much-hyped televised wedding in January.
Navarro had previously spoken about her dislike for the Bachelor show and the genre, but cohost Sunny Hostin had been a fan. Past tense.

Bachelor Nation was rocked on Friday when Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announced their divorce after just three months of marriage. But not everyone was shocked by this sudden turn of events.
During a View segment about the divorce, Ana Navarro was practically giddy, telling her co-hosts, “For six months, you tortured me every Friday and made me talk about this topic, which I can’t stand because I think it’s manufactured and a complete crock. The View hosts had a lot to say about Friday’s news that The Golden Bachelor‘s Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are ending their marriage, just three months after their ABC-televised wedding. For some of them, the news was unexpected, but for Ana Navarro it was completely foreseeable and a cause to celebrate. “For six months, you tortured me every Friday and made me talk about this topic — which I can’t stand because I think it’s manufactured and a complete crock — and today I get to say, ‘I told you so, I told you so, I told you so,” Navarro told her cohorts with a happy dance in her chair. Joy Behar was in Navarro’s camp of being snarky about the news, joking, “For my money, they still have time to find love. She has money, he has Viagra. They’ll be fine.” However, for Sunny Hostin...

Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin are the mainstays, with Ana Navaro floating around as needed.
With an earthquake, eclipse, and a recent fire, things have been abnormal on the set.
And now a familiar face has been missing since this Tuesday, causing a massive gap in the otherwise steady team.

The View‘s “Hot Topics” segment got a bit personal for several of the cohosts, especially Sunny Hostin. In the episode, Hostin, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Alyssa Farah Griffin (note: Sara Haines was absen t Tuesday) talked about a viral video in which a woman contended that she was accused of not putting enough effort into her appearance by not wearing makeup. “I think that’s hard to tell [someone] because no one would ever ask a man why his face wasn’t made up, ever,” Goldberg said in reaction. “And to me, if I’m working on a pole, then you can talk to me about makeup. But if I’m working in a capacity where I have to talk to people and stuff, what does my face have to do with this? What does my makeup have to do with it?” Goldberg’s words were greeted with uproarious applause from the audience.

There was an unexpected empty chair on the set of The View on Tuesday morning. While Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin were all on hand to discuss the hot topics of the day, Sara Haines was noticeably missing, despite being present for Monday’s eclipse-themed show. After the first commercial break, Goldberg finally addressed the matter of Haines’ absence, explaining, “We were remiss. We needed to tell you that Sara’s out for a few days attending a funeral for a family friend. That’s why she’s not here. It got away from me, yeah.” On social media, viewers sent Haines notes of support, with one saying, “So sorry for your loss,” and another writing, “Aaaaawwww miss u @sarahaines and praying for u and the family.” TV Insider has reached out to Haines’ reps for comments and did not hear back at the time of publication.

Joy Behar is not a fan of Dolly Parton‘s “Jolene,” even though it’s the original. She much rather prefers Beyoncé’s version for its power and anger.
You see, while Dolly’s version begged this beautiful and seductive Jolene to not take her man, Beyoncé’s version warned that there’ll be consequences should she even make moves to take her man. For this reason, Behar believes that one of these two songs is “anti-feminist.”

The View got off to a fiery start on Monday morning as the cohosts — particularly Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar — got to work batting down one conspiracy theory after another related to the solar eclipse that’s crossing the nation, just days after they experienced a sizable earthquake in New York City. As always, the opening music was a tribute to the occasion, as they walked onto the stage to the tune of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.” Then, they encouraged audiences to wear special eclipse-specific sunglasses to avoid being, well, blinded by the light. “You will not be blinded by the light unless you do something dumb like this,” Goldberg said, while pointing to a photo of then-President Donald Trump staring at the sky without his own eye protection. “Unless you know that the glasses you have are eclipse glasses, do not put them on to look at the sun.

The View co-host Joy Behar once auditioned for Saturday Night Live. It did not go well.
The 81-year-old recalled the 1975 moment Wednesday on The View’s companion podcast, Behind the Table.

Michaels is famous for purposely not laughing during SNL auditions. Behar admitted it was still “a little depressing to have to audition for somebody and they don’t laugh.
