For one she never suffered physical abuse before the attempted murder and she does not come from modest or marginal family. As she says: 'There is no profile for battered women and it can touch anyone.' She also is a strong woman and a fighter who is not afraid to criticize the ineffectiveness of institutions. For me as a man was also very important to approach the male and try to find out what happens inside a violent man and what leads him to violence. In this sense i found the work of the therapist Harald Burgauner, who is one of the most prestigious specialists in Austria, of particular interest.

The result is an intensely personal and moving take on the emotional impact of suicide within a family and a powerful account of the benefits of creating safe spaces for emotional communication. Shot in a subjective style and against the stunning backdrop of the British countryside, Evelyn is an emotionally raw film that documents the difficult, yet rewarding, attempt to navigate the rocky highlands of collective trauma.

- DirectorGary MankeIn it's heyday of the 1930's through the 1960's, it was unlike any other amusement park ride. Crafted entirely of wood, few were constructed and even fewer became classics. Leaving lasting memories, it was deemed legendary by those fortunate to have ridden the gravity powered cars through hand-crafted troughs of cypress. The Flying Turns bobsled-type coaster was no ordinary ride and Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania is no ordinary amusement park. Together, they are the perfect complement. After an absence of four decades, and roughly seventy years since last constructed in the United States, the Flying Turns is now back! With virtually no available historic plans or construction documentation from the original rides, park president Dick Knoebel, ride designer John Fetterman, project manager Jim Martini, construction consultant Leonard Adams, wooden coaster designer Mike Boodley and dozens of construction personnel worked over seven years building an all-new 'classic' coaster, rekindling a passion and craftsmanship thought lost to time. In 2006, StoryWorks.TV was granted permission by Knoebels to document the construction of the Flying Turns. 'Flying Turns: Resurrecting A Legend' provides a detailed account of the project through exclusive video, photographs and interviews. Here is your chance to witness this historic one-of-a-kind construction project. See, hear and experience what it takes to bring back a legend.

He travels to West Africa several times a year to check on his aid projects and to be available to people on site. His daughter Katharina (38), whose mother is German, was born and raised in Ludwigshafen. She is a free-lance graphic designer, a feminist free spirit, an artist, hippie and: a king's daughter. In recent years, father and daughter have been experiencing a growing hostility towards them from the white German majority society. Their reactions to that experience could not be more different. He - the exotic majesty - thinks assimilation and gratitude are key to successful integration. He successfully finances major essential aid projects in Ghana with the help of German donors. She, on the other hand, is sick and tired of proving to be 'German enough': "I have tried everything. But it's never enough. And if it isn't enough, I don't want it to be enough. If that's the case, I have to find other solutions for my life." Father and daughter go on a journey together. For the first time after many years, Katharina accompanies her father to his kingdom in Ghana. She wants to get back in touch with that part of her identity, she wants to recharge her spiritual batteries and figure out if she wants to succeed to the throne someday. - DirectorJoão CorreaThis routine documentary on drug addiction among Belgian youth also looks at famous people who were addicted to one drug or another, such as Baudelaire and Freud, and the narrative skims through eras in history in which drug use was common. Among the periods and places mentioned are the English opium trade in China, drugs in the renaissance, and in ancient Rome. Many of the addicts in Belgium come from middle-class families or better and it is implied that they turned to drugs out of a sense of alienation or because they had nothing better to do. Drug users tended to start with casual substances but quickly turn to the more seriously addictive heroin or cocaine.
