- CreatorJ.J. AbramsJeffrey LieberDamon LindelofStarsJorge GarciaJosh HollowayYunjin KimThe survivors of a plane crash are forced to work together in order to survive on a seemingly deserted tropical island. The best TV series ever. After the end of "Lost" I was searching for something like this to watch. Still no success.
Favourite character: John Locke. - CreatorCharlie BrookerStarsWunmi MosakuMonica DolanDaniel LapaineFeaturing stand-alone dramas -- sharp, suspenseful, satirical tales that explore techno-paranoia -- "Black Mirror" is a contemporary reworking of "The Twilight Zone" with stories that tap into the collective unease about the modern world.A must watch for everybody, especially those who are really into technology and think that it is the best thing in a world - "Black Mirror" will make you question everything.
- CreatorJames Manos Jr.StarsMichael C. HallJennifer CarpenterDavid ZayasHe's smart. He's lovable. He's Dexter Morgan, America's favorite serial killer, who spends his days solving crimes and nights committing them. After seeing season 1, I thought that it might be the first TV series that I am not going to finish. I hated the main character. He was emotionless, cold-blooded serial killer. It was disturbing to see, how he actually enjoyed killing. But I decided to watch one more season just to check how everything goes further. And then I got hooked up. Dexter started changing, finally got some emotions, earning strong second place in my list. By the way, the ending was terrible...
- CreatorJeff DavisStarsTyler PoseyHolland RodenDylan O'BrienAn average high school student and his best friend get caught up in some trouble causing him to receive a werewolf bite. As a result they find themselves in the middle of all sorts of dramas in Beacon Hills. This is my guilty pleasure. I found myself giggling once in a while, while watching this TV series. Teenage romance, half naked men, supernatural, sassiness... Real fun!
Favourite character: Derek Hale. - CreatorKazuki TakahashiStarsDan GreenWayne GraysonAmy BirnbaumYugi Moto solves an Ancient Egyptian Puzzle and brings forth a dark and powerful alter ego. Whenever he and his friends are threatened by evil in Duel Monster Card Game, this alter ego breaks out to save them.Another guilty pleasure of mine. I used to wish for the classes at school to end early so I could still catch an episode on TV. Now years later I finally watched all of it in order. Of course, some of it doesn't make any sense, but it is still super fun to watch. I loved the voice acting: every character has very distinct voice, manner of speaking and/or accent that I could tell them apart even without looking. Sometimes I even cheered out loud during the duels. Oh, and it probably was the first time when I had a crush on a fictional character.
Favourite character: Yami Yugi (the Pharaoh). - CreatorCraig MazinStarsJessie BuckleyJared HarrisStellan SkarsgårdIn April 1986, the city of Chernobyl in the Soviet Union suffers one of the worst nuclear disasters in the history of mankind. Consequently, many heroes put their lives on the line in the following days, weeks and months. It is simply amazing. I felt everything as if I was there.
- CreatorJ.J. AbramsAlex KurtzmanRoberto OrciStarsAnna TorvJoshua JacksonJohn NobleAn F.B.I. agent is forced to work with an institutionalized scientist and his son in order to rationalize a brewing storm of unexplained phenomena. My liking to this TV series grew slowly, but it reached the maximum when alternate universe was discovered. The last season was annoying, because it was totally different from other seasons.
Favourite character: Lincoln Lee. - CreatorAndrew W. MarloweStarsNathan FillionStana KaticSusan SullivanWhen a psychopath commits murders based on novelist Castle's books, Detective Beckett seeks his help to solve the case. He decides to work with her and uses his experiences as research for his novels.I thought it will be just another CSI or Bones, which get boring if you watch too many episodes. But it was way better. And the last season was really amazing! I loved how supernatural and sci-fi themes are incorporated, but still left to be realistic. And when I thought that Castle gets into trouble way too often, his own daughter pointed this out: he gets abducted, like, twice a year.
Favourite character: Kevin Ryan. - CreatorDavid SimonStarsDominic WestLance ReddickSonja SohnThe Baltimore drug scene, as seen through the eyes of drug dealers and law enforcement.A TV series about Baltimore city through the eyes of police department. I enjoyed it way more than expected. It was very easy to empathize with the characters. And it was so sad to see how bad guys might turn into good guys, but eventually they end up all the same. Real world is such a cruel place.
- CreatorSidney SheldonStarsBarbara EdenLarry HagmanBill DailyA United States astronaut finds his life vastly complicated when he stumbles on to a bottle containing a female genie.Major Anthony Nelson is so handsome and Jeannie is so lovingly cute. And they work perfectly together with all the drama. I loved figuring out the practical effects of filming such show in the 60s. But I hated how clumsy Nelson was made with every season.
Favourite character: Amanda Bellows. - CreatorMatt DufferRoss DufferStarsMillie Bobby BrownFinn WolfhardWinona RyderWhen a young boy vanishes, a small town uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one strange little girl.It is not bad, but it is not fascinating. While watching, I constantly remembered "Teen Wolf": children/teenagers as main protagonists, adults are barely involved, police is barely involved, strange supernatural things are happening and not everyone is aware of them, some of the action takes place in school.
Favourite character: Jim Hopper. - CreatorRené EchevarriaScott PetersStarsJacqueline McKenzieJoel GretschPatrick John FluegerAs the reappearance of 4,400 missing persons on a single day confounds the global community, federal agents on the case slowly discover the ways in which the victims have been changed.I liked the idea of these TV series and I enjoyed it. However, I feel that the last season was a little bit rushed to the end, a lot of things still had to happen in a very short time. It seems like it was planned to make 44 episodes in total (I don't believe it's a coincidence), but they still wanted to tell longer story and had to rush it.
- CreatorJulian FellowesStarsHugh BonnevillePhyllis LoganElizabeth McGovernA chronicle of the lives of the British aristocratic Crawley family and their servants in the early twentieth century.A beautiful drama about lives of different families and their relations towards each other. But it is not all perfect, there are illness, deaths and other troubles.
Favourite character: Anna Bates. - CreatorNicolas FalacciCheryl HeutonStarsRob MorrowDavid KrumholtzJudd HirschWorking for the F.B.I., a mathematician uses equations to help solve various crimes.I always liked math and even thought studying it, so these TV series were very interesting to me. It shows that you can save the world not only using guns, but also by applying science to predict the next step.
- CreatorAlan BallStarsPeter KrauseMichael C. HallFrances ConroyA chronicle of the lives of a dysfunctional family who run an independent funeral home in Los Angeles. It was depressing to watch this. I could barely watch two episodes in a row. Since it is about the family, which runs a funeral home, a lot of deaths are shown. At some point I even developed a fear of death. But I liked this TV series for the realisticity of it. It doesn't look beautiful, everything is very natural. Everyone has their bad days all the time. I think, the final episode was one of the best endings of all I've seen.
- CreatorChuck LorreBill PradyStarsJohnny GaleckiJim ParsonsKaley CuocoA woman who moves into an apartment across the hall from two brilliant but socially awkward physicists shows them how little they know about life outside of the laboratory.I am a scientist (physicist) and I just had to watch this TV series. In the end, everything was wrapped up very nicely. I agree that it was already time to finish.
Favourite character: Sheldon Cooper. - CreatorHart HansonStarsEmily DeschanelDavid BoreanazMichaela ConlinF.B.I. Special Agent Seeley Booth teams up with the Jeffersonian's top anthropologist, Dr. Temperance Brennan, to investigate cases where all that's left of the victims are their bones. At first I loved this TV Series, but later it got boring and repetitive. I also developed a strange "feeling": I was not able to eat chicken legs while watching episodes of Bones, because I felt like a cannibal. Later I even struggled to eat anything with meat.
Favourite character: Jack Hodgins. - CreatorMichael SeitzmanStarsJosh HollowayMeghan OryJohn BillingsleyA high-tech intelligence operative, enhanced with a super-computer microchip in his brain, aids an elite government cyber-security agency in special missions. These TV series were nice and quite interesting to watch. It's a pity, that it was cancelled.
- CreatorSamuel BaumStarsTim RothKelli WilliamsBrendan HinesAbout Cal Lightman, the world's leading deception expert who studies facial expressions and involuntary body language to expose the truth behind the lies."Lie to Me" has the main character who is loved by (almost) everyone, but in a real life (almost) everyone would hate this kind of person. I enjoyed this, but sometimes it was too much.
- CreatorCarter BaysCraig ThomasStarsJosh RadnorJason SegelCobie SmuldersA father recounts to his children - through a series of flashbacks - the journey he and his four best friends took leading up to him meeting their mother.Very short episodes make these TV series perfect for noncommittal watching. The jokes are funny, but you never remember that exactly was in last episode.
- CreatorStephen ChboskyJosh SchaerJonathan E. SteinbergStarsSkeet UlrichLennie JamesAshley ScottA small town in Kansas is literally left in the dark after seeing a mushroom cloud over nearby Denver, Colorado. The townspeople struggle to find answers about the blast and solutions on how to survive. The idea of these TV series are great. The first season was really good, even though the acting was poor - most of the time characters didn't make me believe their feelings are real. The second season was not so good, because it had more war action involved and I am not a fan of this.
- StarsJon HammDaniel RadcliffeRosie CavalieroIn the early 20th century, a young doctor arrives in a small Russian village around the time of the Russian Revolution to work in the local hospital.Gruesome and funny at the same time.
- CreatorDavid CraneMarta KauffmanStarsJennifer AnistonCourteney CoxLisa KudrowFollows the personal and professional lives of six twenty to thirty year-old friends living in the Manhattan borough of New York City.It is an entertaining watch, but it gets annoying. Sometimes I liked the characters and sometimes I hated them. If the series get a new story line, it might not be kept until long or suddenly everything gets back to normal if nothing has ever happened.
- CreatorJonathan E. SteinbergStarsMark ValleyChi McBrideJackie Earle HaleyA unique bodyguard protects his clients by secretly infiltrating their lives in order to draw out and eliminate threats.I totally agree with critics, who said that the second season was made to be more appealing to women. I mean, two new women characters in the team at the first episode, while in the first season women were only occasional characters? Seriously? And I feel that in the second season the TV series lost their main idea, because most of the time they tried to save themselves from their past and not real clients. But I was happy they changed the main theme music. In first season I was really annoyed by opening title sequence.
- CreatorDavid S. GoyerStarsTom RileyGregg ChilingirianEros VlahosFollows Leonardo Da Vinci during his early days in Florence, as a young artist, inventor and dreamer, trying to change the future. The CGI cityscapes are so bad! This was the worst thing in this TV series. At first I didn't like how Leonadro da Vinci was portrayed, I felt like he couldn't be like this: a macho, a madman, an egoist. But then decided not to care about this. They use a lot more persons, who actually existed. And I was pretty surprised how much of actual events are implemented.
Favourite character: Girolamo Riario.
