- The SDAFF vision is to present culturally sensitive and provocative stories that represent the richness and diversity of the Asian American experience and market these stories to the broadest audience possible; to provide a venue to showcase quality films that are produced, directed, written, acted by or about Asian Americans or Asian issues; to celebrate San Diego's diverse Asian Pacific Islander communities and encourage better understanding of the different cultures; to cultivate local talent by providing meaningful programs and resources for ethnic students to pursue careers in media, film, and the arts as well as to promote San Diego County as a location to shoot films.
