- Eduardo 32 years old, lives a critical phase of his life. Perhaps a midlife crisis, would say the psychologist Catarina Neves that meets him daily, or a refusal to confront the fact that his wife Dora have recently made a mastectomy, would say herself, or a common reaction to having been fired from the job, would say others. But Eduardo want to believe that all this is trivial, because in fact there is something in the outside world who wants to advise him. There are signs that chase and lead him.
- Au Revoir, Portugal! is a five-part documentary series, which depicts the Portuguese emigration to France in the decades of 50/60/70. During this period around two million Portuguese left the country clandestinely. It was the biggest human exodus ever in the history of Portugal. The documentary series explores the stories of all these men who decided to left Portugal in search of a better life for themselves and their families. Real reports describes the painful and risky way the Portuguese departed the country. According to the director "This is a story about Portugal, a story of men that my grandfather helped lead to France, it's your history and mine, and I'm sure elsewhere in the world, the viewer will find a family ancestor, or someone, with a similar story".
- In a small and remote village, that time forgot, are now living the last inhabitants of an ancestral population. Maria de Jesus, a village old woman, lives in a state of peace and rest. But one day, one of Maria's chicken puts a black egg, and the event becomes a festival of the village people to her house. The population , frightened, advises Maria to get rid off the egg, since they see the phenomenon as a bad sign. But Maria can't turn off the affection she feels for the egg and decides to keep it. One of the Maria's nearby tries to steal it but ends up, accidentally, to broke it. During the evening, Maria is visited by Lucio, his grandson, who decides to come live with her. The next day an old but well-heeled tourist, passing through the village , begins to flirt Maria, inviting her to marry and go to live in the City of Lisbon. When least expected, the chicken is back to lay an egg, this time green, and everything rushes to an end ... dramatic.

It's that kind of different characteristics that make us cultural rich, and make us approach to each others, wanting to know more about us. This film was made for the competition PRIX EUROPA SPOT 2007

The city of Guarda is the stage in each of them occur and, as such, has a strong influence on the development of the narrative plot and its dramaturgy. The city itself is a character. Reality and fiction come together in a personal vision of the director. Both embark on a surreal poetry, spontaneous but fateful. In this scenario, everything is possible. The highest portuguese city lives for itself. However, his condition is to be alone. 5 F's contains chemical elements that when mixed, in the correct and accurate way, achieves its alchemy. And from there, the captured image becomes the essence of the "Guarda" city.
