- "Shake the Dust" is a feature documentary that tells the stories of break dancers from conflicted "third- world" communities around the globe who, although separated by cultural boundaries and individual struggles, are intrinsically tied to one another through their passion for dance and hip-hop culture.
- In a modern world where everyone clamors for their 15 seconds of fame, one group of 20-somethings with varied careers but equal passion for music escape the constant consumption and judgement of our modern culture for one weekend a year to write songs together. Six of these individuals relay their personal stories and connection to creativity, and discuss the validity of music-making, regardless of the end product. In the process, these teachers, nurses, desk-jockeys, and free-lancers' career passions, personal tragedies, and doubts exist as the backdrop to a timely question: What is the point of making music, regardless of whether one "makes it" or not?
